My new crane finally arrived! :-)

In the photo it is sitting off of its suspension. With a touch of a buton it jacks right up for road travel. Even neater is you can jack it higher in front or back it your going into a steep grade. I was really impressed when the sales rep showed me that. Good eyes brendonv, thats the first thing I noticed when I pulled up to it, and I immediately voiced my concern. Sales rep said this thing has all the bells and whistles! He was right.

Can it do that jumping thing like the low rider cars can do? Ha-ha..... What a great combination of compactness, manuverability, and power, plus it looks good!

Say, whereabouts in NJ are you? I'm from Bloomingdale. Started working at Bartlett out of Paterson in 1978. Then worked for Timberland in Towaco until I moved to Florida in 1983.

Located in Barrington, Camden county. About 15-20 minutes outside of Philly.

Is it made in Germany?

[/ QUOTE ] Yes it is. Wish is was made in the US. We are hoping to keep the 50 ton. It is paid for and does not cost much to operate other than ins., fuel, registration, maitance, etc. We are also trying to ramp up our rental division so would be nice when both cranes are out.

I think Cameron has car/truck ports for his stuff, nice option for keeping the equipment out of the weather.

Here was a big beech we were taking down today on the side of a ravine at about 125' of radius

Wireless = interference. Nothing like booming down and a wireless anti 2 block bringing the whole works to a screeching halt! Unless its the boom length cable, but I thought all the new terexs were internal. Either way I think I'm breaking a commandment, something about coveting another mans crane!

Full span is 21.3'. It has an external ATB wire. It is not for boom length, that is all computer controlled. This was the one feature I was worried about. But so far because of the longer boom length, we have been up above the canopy of the trees and has not interfeared with the ATB Wire. Also I'm pretty sure its external due to the boom pinning system extending the boom lengths. It would be a real pain if it were internal and got hung up on something.
