My new crane finally arrived! :-)

The fact that you are the owner of the company, the owner of the crane and yet you are the full time climber/rigger, that to me is the most impressive. Much respect... Much respect!!!

Maybe one day you can find some time to edit all that video you have saved up....

Did that piece of wood make it to the mill?

Yes they did, got an etra five hundred for the two pieces. Guy I dropped them off to is having a custom mill built to deal with such large diameter logs. I was happy just not to see it turned into mulch. It had some really tight growth rings as well. Counted it out to be 166 years old. Another victim of BLS.

I caught an arborist a few years ago just as the log was waiting to be picked up. He said, "take it". They loaded it on my truck and I milled it up. The boards have served many uses. From a bridge deck to my now workbench and picnic table tops.

166 years old then my log must of been like 100. She's a beauty!

Yeah Jeff, I'm thinking the same thing.......I have to pay to dump logs like that! Wow Cam 500$ sounds great to me especially looking at the lg column of decay at the base. Glad you're lovin' your crane.....that's the most important thing :)

Mike, I think you are looking at the wrong picture. That was another oak I did with similar size base but was rotted out. The two peices I sold didn't have any decay in them. I would be one hell of a salesman to sell some rotted wood, lol.

Gotta love it when you buy a big new piece of iron and one of the worst storms in decades hits a few weeks later!!
