My new crane finally arrived! :-)

conndot has a problem with this machine and the 3055 grove because of the combination of short wheelbase, only 3 axles and axle weights over 22,500#-(federal bridge formula).

The funny thing about that crane is as long as they are in demand like they have been for the last decade, that thing will be worth 750k for ten+ years. In ten years the new version will be 1.4 mil or something crazy.

A few more pictures, not the most exciting. It was a beautiful 100'+ red oak we took out cause it shed a couple of limbs onto the home. The homeowners were convinced it needed to go. It did have a significant lean, but not enough for me to warrant taking it out.

So the crane must pick like a mofo. How is the build quality of the Terex, the fit and finish??

Big tree today

crane looks beautiful, nice set-up with plenty of footprint, ground man with comm to op. please get your climber into the habit of flipping the shackles after the hookup so they don't spit the pin when the chokers live end tightens up. regards, tom.

Never seen it happen in over 10 years of crane work, but will keep it in mind, thx

Cameron,
Congrats on the new crane!
What do you use to load logs? I didn't see any in your pictures.
Also, I couldn't find a website for your company. Why don't you have a web presence with as large a company as you must have?

I've never seen or heard of a shackle pin split but I was tought that the static end of the choker goes on the pin so the tightening of the strap doesn't loosen/tighten the pin

dbl612 was saying it would spit out the pin not split. Like you said it could possibly spin the pin out. That was the first time we were using round slings, and I didn't take notice of the shackle orientation. I always use nylon slings and my force of habit is to put the eye on the pin cause it's smaller. Didn't occur to me before that the pin could spin out, but I see that now with the round slings.

We have a Prentice 124E with 45yd body. Took one full truck of limb wood out today and will go back with it and our roll-off truck tomorrow to get the remaining wood.

Our website is in its final stage, the designer is just waiting on pictures from me and I've just been too busy.

We are a small staffed company with myself doing the majority of the climbing/sales/other duties/family, so my time gets rather limited. I hope the site is up to par when finished, I've only been dragging this out for the past three years now.

Beautiful equipment! It must be a joy to work for you.
How do you like the BC2000 with the loader? I'd sure love to have one of those. Its curious that Vermeer stopped offering that design.

It is a huge help with the grapple loader, especially with crane work. We even have a mini loader to help sometimes too. Not sure why they stopped making it either. I would prefer to have it with it.

Here is a photo my operator took of me in this tree.
