I have an '88 F600 with the 6.6l I6. It's a cab and chassis with 19' of frame with a gvw of 22,900lbs. I also have an older Hiab 170 speed loader, with winch. I want to wack-off 3' of frame and add a 14' dump with a removable top. Should I wait on the Hiab and put a L-pak tool box instead? Thinking maybe truck isn't enough gvw for the k-boom.
What's that Top on the 550?View attachment 41858The fleet minus bucket.
Sweet what kind of mini is it?View attachment 41863
Have a rake made and your bucket will collect rust. I have a local guy one man show custom makes them and mini thumbs ships world wide his stuffs indestructible so far. He custom made this for me.
I don't remember the specks but this Hiab is less than a 5 ton ... It's only got like 25' reach.Dude...definitely not enough gvw. I put a 5 ton kboom on a c6500 26 gvw, left me with 9k capacity. Got annoying real quick
Awesome fleet!View attachment 41858The fleet minus bucket.
Kx 121 and loader is a copma 44z.Sweet what kind of mini is it?

11'6 long 96" wide 72" high first body was 66' no good if you have a big chipper.
I like your setup. Something like that would work well for me.View attachment 41865

Thanks as long as you stay at 72' high on a f550 they hold a ton of chips for a small truck and 4x4 is nice too.I like your setup. Something like that would work well for me.
I'm going to put an actual tailgate in it, kind of like a tandem, but with a center door to use with the chipper or to set chunks in with the mini.

Crude Dwg, I know.
I can't decide how I want to do the top: suggestions?
Back to your earlier question,I like your setup. Something like that would work well for me.
I'd hate having a liitle hole in the middle. I chip with the chipper turned a lil all the time and the chute needs to be right up against the side.
