Norm, I hate to dissappoint but with the weather I'm not going to be able to make set up but I will still be there for Saturday. The rain has been killing us on ours and Friday will only make three days this week which was the exact thing that happened for Ohio. So I will be out there bright and early Saturday morning.
Hey Norm, Just checking to see if you are still shooting for Sat. the 7th. I've been watching the weather and its still at a 60% chance of thunder showers. hate to drive 5 hours up north to be rained out again.
The day went off with a bang with little to no rain. It was a small turnout due to weather predictions but there was a good group of volunteers that made it all happen. Congrats to Norm and the Illinois Arborist Association for putting on a top notch competition once again. There was some great climbes and it worked out well for all but congrats go to Mr. Todd Kramer for pulling off the win after just squeaking into the masters. Jason Dieleo was in second and in his first masters coming in third was Beau Nagan.
It was a great comp. All the volenters did great, thank you. The competition was tough , lots of good climbers. I am quite proud of my co-workers. Kramer Tree had 4 of the top six.
I want to thank Buzzers Greg "da man", Tyler, Kristian, Jon, uncle Art and the other non buzz volunteers who show up and make this event happen.
We had 9 judges not show up who committed. It was a very challenging comp to juggle duties and judges around. So, thank you again to those who commit and stand by their commitments.
