Husqvarna T540xp

I'm selling a like new Husqvarna T540xp saw. It has had 6 tanks of fuel run through it and is in like new condition other than a little dirt and bar oil. It's just not the saw for me. I love my big Husky saws and had high hopes for having an all Husky lineup but I don't like the feel of it.

Included with saw:

Manual
All tools that came with it
Bar cover
14" Techlite Bar (Slightly Used)
16" Techlite Bar (New)
(4) 14" Chains (2 New, 2 Used with 1 filing)
(1) 16" Chain (New)

I'm asking $525 including shipping to the lower 48 States. Paypal is preferred but a check will work too.

I looked at one at a dealers and thought it was heavy for the size. Didn't run it so I can't say it is better than anything else is on the market.

The saw is sold.

The saw seemed to have about the same power as my 201t. My 201t is very well broken in and muffler modded though and the T540 was new. It only had 6 tanks of fuel though it and Autotune seemed to still be working on adjusting and getting rid of a midrange hesitation. Thinking back to how horrible my 201t performed when it was new I would say the T540 has great potential for power.

My big issue was with the feel of the saw in my hands. After working with it I don't like the shape of the top handle or the angled position of the side handle. The top handle has a sharp edge on the top that pushed in the palm of my hand and irritated my carpal tunnel issue. Changing grip size doesn't change this. The angle of the side handle turned my wrist down which made it sore within about 20 minutes of use. I find my 201T much more comfortable to work with and the balance is better.

Minor pros and cons

Regular screw caps for fuel and oil are fantastic. Easy on and off, they seal nicely, and stay clean. Much better than the garbage caps Stihl uses.

The separate choke lever is a little hard to manage with gloves on and the off switch is a little awkward to get to compared to the stihl saws.

I guess that's about it.
