I was VERY concerned with the top barber chairing, so I set a shallow face notch and bore cut the top.
The hardest part was there wasn't a lot of room for the bar to go through and setup a good bore cut. I almost was just going to bind the top with a sling and do a conventional backcut, but I was able to setup a good bore cut and trip it off with no hassles.
