I just want to say thanks again to all those involved with the Geezers event. No matter how many comps I am part of, I allways go away renewed with something new for my mental tool box. And something old. The something old is knowing in my heart that "TreePeople" are the best there are and that "Tree Climbers" are the best of the best. Thanks to all my friends, New and Old.
Bruce

ps To the tech in the tree in the work climb. I hope I didnt scare you too much with how I made the tree move as I so gracefully negotiated the stations.

That was Jeff, the Altreeist. Very little scares him though. You should see what he does in elevators just for fun; Blinky has witnessed it.

The elevator at the Marriot Residence Inn in Hartford should be failing soon.

We did our best to break the cable as we rode up and down all week. It had a natural bounce to it, but we found that we could really get it bouncing, until we could hear the cable "cracking" somewhere above us.....

This not only made us do it more, but we tried to get unsuspecting victims into the elevator for a ride. Blinky rode up with us one night, and the look in his eyes as we started getting the thing bouncing and cracking was priceless. He was all " I have something to live for", and we were all "you shouldn't have ridden in our elevator"

Yeah that priceless look was... 'listen you guys, you're young and stupid and trust modern engineering to save your

if you break it... I'm old and wise and used to be an engineer so I know better.'

They were synchronizing the bounces to amplify the harmonics in the system... boneheads.

It actually WAS kind of fun... in a sick at my stomach, I'm gonna die in an elevator, in the land of Yankees without ever seeing my grandchildren kind of way.

I could never bring myself to actually jump hard though... it was definitely making the kind of noises you don't want to hear in an elevator.

Oh man!

I forgot about these pictures I have!

So the whole weekend, Mo-Rice is whining about how he never should have come, and he is too tired, and he should have pulled a Mo-Rice (no-call, no-show). It was never-ending.

So he had this big breakdown outside of the Work Climb event...

I was calling out to him to cool his jets, but he started balling his fists up and hitting himself hard on the head!

Someone nearby asked if he was OK, and he sort of freaked out on him, telling him to leave him alone or else he would run away!

He finally noticed that I was capturing his epic meltdown on camera, and started shouting at me.

Don't let his small size fool you, he is a formidable foe when he is cranky!
