It's a sad state of affairs Tom, but I think I've mentioned before that this is the new normal, and it was ushered in by Bill Clinton. He made adultery acceptable, along with his pliable pals in the media. Do people really not remember how his supporters defended him? EVERY NIGHT we were reminded how his personal affairs had zero effect on his performance as President, how if Hillary was okay with it we should be too, how morality was subjective, how it was really none of our business, etc.

It was ok for JFK and Bubba, but not for Trump? They were more prolific adulterers than Trump. This selective outrage is odd.

( I get that Trump is objectionable for many more reasons than his adultery, but that's among the weakest arguments against him.)

After being desensitized to boorish behavior Americans now believe policy/ideology to be more important than character. Certainly we're worse for it.

Hey, Trumpalumpadumpa rushed right in there, along with a lot of the GOP, to defend a Navy Seal Sniper... because incarceration while awaiting trial is so harsh... to get him out of the brig. Of course, the guy is going on trial for war crimes... gut-shooting little schoolgirls for the crime of crossing the street, stabbing 15-year-old prisoner of war to death... you know, that good old boy stuff that's so much fun you can hardly blame the guy for getting his giggles from a little murder and mayhem. He'll probably use the "Here, hold my beer and watch this!" defense, be aquitted, and end up as the new head of the Veterans Administration.

Clinton's abuse of power was wrong....lying was wrong. The process went through its paces. If we lived in a real world and not one that's gone pear shaped 'rump would be facing bi-partisan impeachment proceedings. Instead we're facing contention. Mitch and his minions in the Senate will face their own judges sometime. I don't think history will write them up as bad hombres. Too bad those books are being written right now.
 
In 2016 the NRA claimed $433.9 million in revenue. Lots of regular people (Americans) who appreciate the 2nd Amendment contribute. $30 million is nothing to them. No need to look to conspiracy theories or shadowy foreign villains in this case.

Its not really about whether or not you, as a privileged white man are offended by the mural Bucknut.

Its about whether the descendants of slaves and the dead Native Americans depicted in the mural find it offensive. If they do then tear it down, or paint over it. Who gives a fuck Buck.

Maybe some of "the good people" that were in Charlottesville should protest the removal of this mural by rallying the forces, lighting some tiki torches, and walking around chanting racist bullshit. If that doesn't work one of those fucking cowards could plow a car into a crowd of people. That should do the trick and get their point across.

It doesn't surprise me that you have a high regard for a man who held hundreds of slave at Mount Vernon. It doesn't surprise me that you are not offended by the scenes of dead bodies of Native Americans being trampled upon by white soldiers. I am a tiny bit surprised that you don't possess the empathy to understand that some may find the mural very offensive though. It appears that it is your parents who failed Bucknut.
