I haven't read this thread. But I agree with this guys point of view.

I also believe that with Trump there is a possibility for change. With Clinton there was no possibility for meaningful change.

I think Evo was saying that the best companies that pay the best wages and salaries are going to be much more expensive than the hacks who don't follow ethical and at times legal business practices. Hiring illegal employees certainly does play a part in that but it's one cog in the wheel.

Keep working for and with the best companies and perhaps, one day maybe, arborists will be held in the same regard as licensed plumbers, electricians, etc. Perhaps one day tree work will have to be performed by licensed professionals only. Not all the hacks that have been known to drive pricing down are employing immigrants. They're usually just cheap, ignorant, and unprofessional bush leaguers.
 
And yes oroboros, govt costs and size of beaurocracy has gotten ridiculous. Question becomes, what is going to get cut to make a meaningful difference in the budget and taxation.

Certainly the classic starting point would be the albatross programs for entitlements, benefits, etc. HUGE proportion of the total budget. But building walls, doubling or tripling the border enforcement ranks, and fighting numerous wars ("bombing the shit out of ISIS") is added cost burden then too.

Not saying I have the solutions, lord knows, but many a politician has promised to shrink the govt and lower taxes.

Why do you get to call me out but refuse to give an opinion on why you disagree with trump as president. What do you like about the country what do you not like? All I'm reading is that you don't agree with my aggressive position. You say I don't know what I'm talking about but everything I'm saying is opinions. You act like you can prove that my job would be absolutely the same if there were no illegal immigrants in our industry. Hate to throw a curve ball in here too but the drugs that poor through the border is an epic problem. I can't write ten pages of history to explain my position on everything but I'm not scared to tell my opinion on this election. So if your so smart give me a reason to feel like I may be wrong besides giving me shit like your my school teacher
 
what evidence do I need on my opinion? It's how I feel. Illegal immigrants do tree work and take jobs from other Americans because they'll work for lower wages. I don't like that. Trump wants to strengthen our immigration policies and prevent more people from coming here illegally. I like that. I voted for trump. Your reasons I'm wrong is that you think I'm dumb based on spelling and my refusal to define words to you

Again, I'm not a Trump fan by any means, but to believe Hillary was progressive and the better choice and has the best interests of the people, minorities included? Get real. Part of the problem with what's wrong with Washington. Can you say exploitation of the people? Only masked by "gifts" to gain the votes.

My only hope is to become a keen speller and elaborate definer of my opinion so you can further your knowledge of my standpoint on American politics.
 
Then present a more cogent arguement perhaps. I'm not a card carrying Democrat, perhaps a "leave me the hell alone Reagan Democrat" would work for my view points. That said, present your case slowly and methodically without the emotion that yourself and Levi and getting mired in.
Folks just may send some trophy points your way, myself included. Not that that crap is important anyway but I'm not currently trying to pick on you.
 
I've been drunk this whole time. Been on a bender since trump won. VICTORY! JK kinda. I'm not really such an ass just felt a certain way about this election. I may have come off as a typical trump supporter with little evidence of everything I've said. But I'm pretty sure my strong pov is shared by others but it's a tough conversation to start without upsetting people. I'm sorry for being so butt hurt over this. As a side note employee's are can be much more expensive than just the take home wages. Many are not clear that the employer has to match the withholdings from your check, workmans comp, benifits, .... Of course these costs are passed down to the consumer, which has to look at the bottom line.
