Fu*%face Von Clownstick

He stood against the endless imperial wars of the US State to a greater degree than any other recent US president. And incidentally, in my opinion, that is the primary reason why he is so demonized and is being subjected to politically motivated judicial persecution.
Trump is "demonized" because he engaged in criminal activities before, during, and after his presidency. Donny managed to leave such a massive trail of evidence (paper, audio, and video) in his wake that it is now impossible to turn a blind eye to his many crimes. Nation of laws.? No one is above the law, and all?

I also can't help but point out that Trump (the man you claim was against our endless imperial wars) had 4 years to get us out of Afghanistan, but like his wall, middle class tax cuts, and being the "greatest jobs president in history', it was all talk and no action...

That's not how I recall it. He was largely celebrated as a great American business man and celebrity until he won the presidency. Upon winning, and his, at least, rhetorical disruption to the corrupt corporate and beurocratic war/media and neo-marxist agenda, it changed and the attacks began.

It began with the Mrs. Clinton campaign fabrication of Russia collusion and "the largest inauguration" crowd, he lied nonsense.

It continued with the impeachment nonsense and then went into abeyance until he looked to challenge for president again. At this point you have a partisan attack through the legal system.

That is a fairly accurate description of how I see it.

Those are some very strongly colored glasses you've gotten used to wearing, but if you step back and try to look at the world objectively, a tenuous proposition at best for most, you may start to see things for what they are. Trump was mostly just celebrated by idiots, or people who profit from idiots. Just because someone is on TV doesn't mean they're 'largely celebrated', it regularly means that they are enough of a clown that they hold people's attention. He's been making loads of enemies for a long time, and simple polling shows that while plenty of folks liked his flavor of shittiness, more preferred a different flavor. Just show me one objective source that shows otherwise. Fair warning: this is a bit of a trick question, because I am doubtful of your ability to identify objectitivity.

You are being funny.

Seems like not worth arguing about the exactitude of "largely celebrated".

How are you able to judge the hew of my glasses without questioning your own shade.

I liked your previous post until you went to Trump and then your glasses got colored. Maybe.

I don't see any objective information being used to back up your point. I am willing to make the effort to discuss this further, but you don't see a point? That's what this whole thread is about. You were with me until I wasn't lauding Trump as a hero, so am I to understand that we agree about Biden? Open your eyes to both sides of this conversation brother, because they're both lying to you. Objectivity is difficult to achieve, but if we can't find some, then this continues to be all about opinions. If you believe that any data gathered about Trump that indicates things you don't want to hear is fabricated by some leftist conspiracy, while any data that points to him being a success is clearly the most well collected data, then you may have a more significant bias than you realize.

Nobody can have their eyes opened for them, you can only open your own, but the truth only comes when you stop trying to find things that confirm your opinions and beliefs, and start trying to disprove them to yourself. Only after you have tried to disprove your initial thoughts on something will you start to see it more objectively; this is fundamental to the scientific method.

So let's see it. Where's your notion of 'largely celebrated' coming from?

He was largely celebrated as a great American business man

And let's not forget the Trump Casino-Bankrupt!

There is your great business man.

He sure wasn't celebrated largely or small-ly by the contractors he bankrupted in Atlantic City. That's when he came on my radar. Too many stories about companies being hired to do work on the casino who weren't paid. The goods were supplied but when the bill was submitted rump would discount his payment based on some fabricated reason. The option offered...take the discount or see my in court. How would that work for your tree care company? Pay your costs and have the client never pay you? Would you celibrate your clients?

I can't believe I have to argue this. He was a global recognized business man celebrity. True or not?

And it isn't even the salient point.

Then there is his hotel that he made the Secret Service stay at where he raped the American people 200 times the going rate for the rooms.
What a wonderful fellow you Trumpsters worship. Hillery got it right. Trump people need to be deprogrammed. They have been brainwashed.

Interesting. What’s the best way to go about this in your opinion? I’m thinking they will probably need to be forcibly rounded up and shipped to “deprogramming camps”. Of course we will have to decide what to do with all their children while the parents are undergoing forced re-education. Should consider government boarding “schools” for these kids to teach them how evil their parents are.

Naturally, all this would be done to protect “American democracy” from the threat of fascism that Trump represents. America’s history of harsh punishment for political dissent and thoughtcrimes must be upheld at any cost.

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.

I do believe Trump just said, "I will lock up my political enemies if I am president again."
There is your American democracy, according to Trump.

You have no leg to stand on. The guy is a total jerk who pays no attention to the Constitution or laws. Doesn't give a damn about anyone but Donald Trump. Says the military people who died fighting are losers. Won't spend a dime of his own money but will spend all of yours. "Never spend your own money when there are so many suckers out there that are willing to give you their money.", he said in an interview several years ago.

To believe in this idiot, you need to be on his level. Take that how you wish.

I have better things to do than banter with a fool.

You (and many like you) fundamentally misunderstand Trump supporters. The rabid MAGA base that shows up at his rallies is just a tiny part of his coalition. The rest are less vocal, and cringe just as you do at a LOT of what he says. But they watch the news, and none of it is good. We have willfully abolished the border and are being overrun. Inflation is killing the middle class. Gas prices still high and getting higher, as Biden openly brags that he will abolish the petroleum industry. Crime is rampant while consequences are not. We’re called bigots if we refuse to believe men can magic themselves into women, and expected to submit to our kids being exposed to radically inappropriate material in school. Off the top of my head.

Point is, most Trump “supporters” don’t love him as much as they hate Biden and his policies. As I’m QUITE certain that nearly all Biden voters cast their ballot against Trump and not for Biden.

A vote for Trump is simply a giant middle finger. A vote that says we’ve had enough, and now this is happening. Again.

FTR, I don’t know that I could vote Trump. I prefer several of his primary opponents. Even RFK Jr.

What would you call it when your Campaign Manager/CEO shares internal campaign data with a Russian agent?

We could always start with a public school system…. Oh wait they did that already

What you forgot to mention is that the states with the highest crime rates, are by a large majority, RED/MAGA states..
I appreciate you taking the time to find those links. They’re interesting, but intentionally misleading. The authors know the average reader won’t be critical or curious enough to dig a little deeper. Common sense goes a long way here.

In every state, most murders occur in large cities. This should be patently obvious and is statistically unavoidable. Simple population density dictates this, not even factoring in a host of other demographic factors that contribute.

I mean, do you really think that in “red states” there are roving bands of farmers out slaughtering people at alarming rates? Or is it maybe young, fatherless punks in big (overwhelmingly democrat) cities doing a bit more of that?

The first article you link claims to account for this by ignoring murders from the largest city in each state. But what about the second, third, and fourth largest? Missouri had 520 murders in major cities in 2019 (FBI). Guess how many occurred in rural areas? 28. Weird how they left that out.

Figures lie and liars figure, as the saying goes. I’ll keep trusting my eyes and my gut for now.
