Fu*%face Von Clownstick

The Trees is so relevant. Hell, all of it is relevant.
Ironic how some of the same people who were getting high and listening to Rush back in the day are now die hard Trump followers. They were my friends, and I do mean WERE. I actually watched a YouTube video of a guy listening to Fly By Night on his way to a Trump rally. Geez. Soliloquy keeps coming to mind every time I think about the possibilty of 4 more years of this shit. Lol, joking.

I am astounded that there are hardworking blue collar workers in this forum that think Biden is a good choice for the Presidency. I just don’t understand the logic there. Trump is crass and can’t keep his mouth shut. But he has reduced taxes, government regulations and boosted the economy, twice. What has Biden done in his 47 years of public service except get rich? Please, I would love to know. What are Biden’s accomplishments?

This cycle has played out twice in plain view: First with Trump’s 2017 tax cut, which showered wealth on the richest, offering the middle class a drop in the bucket, and now with a pandemic response that has inflated the wealth of billionaires, even as main-street America reels under a Depression-level crisis.

Where I am, we can find anyone willing to get up off their butt and work. Business is booming everywhere I turn. People are literally offering outrageous wages just to get people to keep up with the demand. I haven’t seen any “depression-level crisis” with anyone.

plus, still waiting to here what Biden has accomplished in 47 years other than get rich as a “public servant.”

Donald Trump: "The stock market is doing great because of me ... like its never done before."

Reality: Go print out a graph of the S&P500 going back to 1980. Mark on there which president was in office during each period. That's should be all you need to see to know that Trump is full of shit. All those new highs he keeps touting, are part of a multi-year broadening formation, aka megaphone, which is a well known volatility indicator. It often appears when there is political volatility in the country most invested in the underlying securities. The fact that people actual believe his stock market hype shows that 1) they're not that smart when it comes to trading stocks, and 2) he is a con artist.

Rather than answer that worn out old question, Id like to make a suggestion. Since Biden's going to be so bad, then go liquidate your business, liquidate all your investments, and sell your house, and buy a piece of land and build a homestead. Hide the cash in your mattress or wherever, keep a saw for firewood. You should be able to survive the coming crash.
I'm really not trying to be a smartass, just being real. Im just saying put your money where your beliefs are. I do. Apparently you believe Biden is going to destroy the economy. I put all the money I made during the Clinton and Obama presidencies in the mattress during Trump's presidency and haven't regretted it yet. It's hard to keep a straight face when people tell me how rich they're getting under Trump.

And how does one become a millionaire serving in a public office?
I knew some people in Austin TX making $15/hr that were millionaires before they were 30. Shares in lucky tech companies during the 90s (Dell, 3Com, etc). Lifes not fair I guess. Almost every truly wealthy person out there got the bulk of it through investments. Some people just do better than others, or are at the right place at the right time. I think it's relevant since Trump brags about the stock market. Maybe Biden owned some good stocks, who knows; but I'd bet if you asked him, he'd tell you the truth.

@HigherGroundArborist I was a civil servant at one time. Started at GS-5, was at GS-11 in 3 years and socking money away. Biden was probably GS-15, with all the time in service steps. Anyway, I had a fellow GS-11 that got into stock in Best Buy, Microsoft, and several other good solid investments. He made serious money off those and held them. Then, his grandmother in AL passed and left him about 100 acres of land with a house on it. He's still working as a GS-11 during all this. I moved, but I heard a rumor that both his parents passed and, as an only child, he got their estate. He kept working as a GS-11. He lives good, wife and two kids, but doesn't spend extravagantly. He's got to be worth 5 million now. He has a security clearance and travels overseas. Should we investigate him?

There’s a lot of soldiers and marines alive today who otherwise wouldn’t be here, without Senator Biden securing the funding for MRAP vehicles in Iraq. They were desperately needed.

Earlier in his career he was no friend to the LGBT community, but he’s changed his tune since and seems genuinely ashamed of his former stance.

Trump has not reduced taxes on us little guys, just the wealthy. Some tax increases that he and GOP quietly put in place will begin to kick in next year on any of us making less than $100K a year. His scare-talk about Biden raising taxes is so much campaign BS. His own tax hikes were already on the books when he started saying that. You don't have to look very far to find confirmation of this, just don't bother looking on Fox. Here is just one article of quite a few. As to boosting the economy? Over 750,000 thousand more Americans just applied for unemployment this month. Again you won't see it on Fox of course. Biden may not be the best choice we could have had for president but compared to Trump he is the ONLY choice for anyone really paying attention to what is actually happening. The idea of four more years of this chaos and division, with that draft-dodging, lying, egotistical, vindictive, treasonous, womanizing arsehole, is absolutely unthinkable.

What has Biden accomplished in 47 years?
For me, I don't like biden for president. Yet here we are forced to pick the lesser of two evils. I didn't vote for him in the primary, though I did vote dem. When looking at our two choices, I'm forced to not ask "what has biden done" but rather "what hasn't he done". A few answers to that are, he hasn't openly supported white supremacists, he hasn't wracked up a billion dollars in personal debt making him a liability, he doesn't have a history of rape and sexual assault claims against him (trump has 25), he doesn't pout and storm out of interviews when asked "tough questions", he's not mocked by other major world leaders, and he hasn't used immigrants and muslims as scapegoats for all our problems. At the heart of this election is the fact that trump has promoted an agenda that falls in line with fascism. You know who decries antifa ideas? Fucking fascists. I'll let you do your own research on that claim. Trump's path is a slippery slope and if we don't look back at what history has taught us, we are doomed to repeat it.

One of my biggest concerns is that if trump wins again, in 2024 we'll see one of his sons run for president and we'll wind up in a Putin style autocracy, except it'll be a family and not one dude.

As far as the amazing GDP growth under trump, it's in line with nearly every other administration's gains and loses. He hasn't done anything amazing.

All that being said, I don't like that Biden (and Kamala for that matter) is the only other choice next to trump. I see that as a failure of our political system. But since that is the current reality, I find myself having to vote on content of character.

being in office for 47 years and avoiding any major scandal is pretty rare...

sharing your tax returns is helpful.

I voted for Biden because of how absolutely boring he is. thats the best quality I could hope for in a president. also Trumps deregulation campaign has been horrible for fish and I like to fish. Trump also made it legal to sell sick chickens so now i don't feel comfortable eating chicken.
