I suspect that the 'Kung Flu' is not quite as big a joke now as it was at the Tulsa rally. And a lot of dead Americans would not have thought it was funny even back then.

Having to wear a mask in a public setting is not a violation of your constitutional rights. No shirt no service. No shoes no service. No mask no service. Get over your high horse.

Put the damn mask on and do right by yourself and everyone around you. Is it that hard?
 
Well it is clear that if they weren't testing then there wouldn't have been an outbreak within the Whitehouse. I'm just happy that my federal tax dollars were able to subsidize his treatment and get him the best care possible.

Assume (very generously) the mask cuts in half your risk of infection and transmission. This simply means it doubles the duration of the pandemic. I’ll say it again: you cannot hide from a virus. At least not while maintaining a functional economy/country. Or anything resembling a life worth living.

It’s been shown that if EVERYONE wore a mask it could significantly reduce the spread of the virus.

You’ve got nothing but nonsense to say against masks, social distancing, and the Pandemic.

The fact is the people who bitch and complain about masks and don’t want to do the right thing are part of the problem and are fueling the Pandemic.

You don’t hide from the the virus, YOU GET IT UNDER CONTROL. Something we have failed to do. You can’t have a functioning economy when you have 40k-50k cases a day and 1,000+ deaths.

Trump has spent the last 10 months denying and downplaying both the deadly nature and the contagious nature of this virus, and thanks to the Woodward recordings we now know that he was knowingly lying to the American people....He knew in January just how serious this virus was, yet he continues to lie about it... It would seem that a little karmic justice bit old Donny in his extremely fat ass Buck....

You utterly miss the point, or refuse to accept it: there is no escaping the virus. It will do what viruses do. The only way to “get it under control” is to decimate the economy and ruin millions of lives- a fate far worse than the virus itself. I could cite a dozen recent, reputable studies showing mask wearing is ineffectual but no one here cares to read them.

What pisses me off is the fact that the importance of glove wearing was dropped from the discussion.
There must still be a shortage of gloves for health workers like there was for masks in the beginning so there longer stressing the importance of them.

Think about the cashier at a busy grocery store touching every item that comes out of people's cart all day long with bare hands.
You'd have to think at some point (no matter how clean that cashiers hands might be even with the constant use of hand sanitizer) that an exposed item transfers to cashiers hands and is now spread to almost every item they touch before being bagged.
Think about how many hands have touched that item from factory to warehouses to stock people to shoppers to cashier.
We know the virus can live on hard surfaces for a couple of days, maybe longer when refrigerated.
How many people handled, breathed on, sneezed or cough on or near that item?
Then you take it home to your family.

When you leave the store and load your vehicle are you or other people with you touching your keys, door handles, steering wheel, shifter, and other surfaces in the vehicle with your or hands or bare arms that may have rested on a counter or brushed by a rack while in the store?
Do your or people with you remove your masks when in the vehicle, touch these surfaces and at some point touch your face or breath in the cabin air that is circulated by A/C or heat?

When you take your items home and unpack them and place them on your table or counters before storing them.
Are you wiping or spraying them with disinfectant before putting them away?
Are you doing the same for every surface they touched?

Have you considered this?
What percentage of Americans do you think have?

It's been known for several months now that these masks protect other people - not the wearer. I'm just going to call you on that one - you're intentionally engaged in dumbassery and trying to sound intelligent about it. Making more noise than everyone else doesn't prove your point.

He knew for about a moth or two before the public did that "It travels through the air Bob".
Then he purposely and selfishly put at risk thousands of people with his rallies and events which led to many people getting infected and dying.
Herman Cain for one high profile example.
He is personally and criminally responsible for that man's death and who knows how many countless others who've been sickened or died.
Those who feel pitty for this piece of shit need to get their brains examined or their skulls smashed in.

Excellent questions and I think we all know the answers. Doing all these things is obviously impossible. Further illustrating the reality that the virus cannot be stopped and will keep spreading unchecked until we achieve herd immunity or a vaccine.

You assholes who think your rights are being violated or the economy is being hurt by coronavirus restrictions should get your head out of your ass.

A 3 month shutdown last spring could've likely gotten the virus under control and we could've started resuming some sense of normalcy with some precautions. Instead we took a piss poor approach and tried to get it under control in 15 days and then return to normal life which is an absolute joke. All that happened is the virus has spiraled out of control. We have the worst numbers out of any other country. That was preventable.

All we have to do is all wear masks over our mouths and noses and we can have a functioning wide open economy. It's super simple. And, we can invest in mask R&D to make the economy open even wider. If our mask tech was able to protect ourselves as well as others, we could beat this virus even better.
