#enough

The P.O.s pay for me to cut their trees.

Sometimes they are small & sometimes they are not.

I would love to flop fatties all day, but we on the East Side don’t have the fatties like Yous guys have on the Left Coast.

Same job, it was all pulpwood.

A bunch of Cat Eyes & storm damaged trees that should have been removed years ago.
My apologize hsell. I’m a convicted juvinile asshole, and I just couldn’t resist playing with ya’. Big, small, removal, or pruning, it all skilled hard work that deserves respect. Nice work buddy!

Thank You.

Those were certainly scrubs.

This one had been hit by trucks & tractors at least 4 times over the years.

The Banter Abides.

Glad you agree hsell. I didn't want it to be a holier than thou criticism.

Just trying to understand this complex and terrible phenomenon of mass murders.

So much of these deaths come from poverty stricken inner-cities: anyone who chooses to investigate will soon see that.

Drugs
Popular Culture
Lack of Positive Role Models/ Lack of Positive Parenting due to so many different factors.

The Media try’s to spin things to show that whites are killing blacks & blacks are killing whites: the links about show otherwise.

Blacks kill Blacks & Whites Kill Whites because each group is around their ethnicity most of the time.

People are angry & they want change: that’s fair.

But as the above numbers show, we don’t have a gun problem, we have a People Problem.

It’s easier to try to blame an Inanimate object than correct the problem.

That’s Truly Sad.

In 2016,
11,004 people were killed by someone who used a Gun: the other 299,288,996 guns weren’t used illegally.

If we had a Gun Problem, based on the quantity of Guns in this country, we’d have a lot more deaths.

Not trying to stir a hornets nest here, but Tom's Wikipedia article on gun violence had a lot of startling numbers. This is one snippet that confirms for
me why an "assault weapons" ban is silly and obviously doomed to fail:

"In 2010, 358 murders were reported involving a rifle while 6,009 were reported involving a handgun;"

Clearly if you want to make a real impact you would have to severely restrict semi-automatic pistols. That's going to be hard.

But I agree with the public health approach mentioned. Too many people these days are defective. Guns were much more common 100 years ago, but carnage like this was never seen.

Agreed.

People are the problems, not Guns.

Not much Responsibility here anymore.

It’s always someone else’s fault.

The truth is irrelevant: feelings are all that matters.

This thread is a great example of that.

Hicks with guns aren’t the issue.

Ignorant Social Justice Warriors are.

I think both the "hicks" and the "sjw"s are problematic. It's not just you saying this, @hseII , but most folks on this thread. It's not either/or. We choose what we want. Then, after x time, we chose what we want again. We either swing towards nucs, or towards no guns, and hopefully stay in between. There are some very clear areas of agreement: most people appreciate hunting done with guns. Most people don't appreciate having bullets fired at themselves and their family members. These are not the material of either/or statements.

Each of those may be worth discussion but none had the slightest to do with Nicholas Cruz shooting up his school.

(Blame JD and Levi for my new fascination with GIFs.)

I imagine each has a lot to do with that shooting. However, it's hard to make the connections. Social science research is inherently hard to control, to show causation. Yet marketing firms use it to get predictive results that do not depend on knowledge of causation.
