#enough

My point is, there are already heavily regulated cites in the U.S., & those tend to be where the worst crime is.
The most regulated part of Norway is Svalbard (an island off north), where you are not allowed to leave the city without a gun.
There haven't been any murders there that I know of.

Weird. I just watched "Fortitude" on Netflix. Set in Svalbard but filmed in Iceland. I'd never heard of it until a few weeks ago, and now.

Everyone had a gun on the show. Took them everywhere. Even at the grocery store. Interesting.

Edit: "Fortitude" is on Amazon, not Netflix.

Causes of violence in the USA:

#1 The Empire

Sending soldiers out into the world to commit mass murder introduces violence into the populace.

The empire's use of drug dealing to fund covert destabilization plots against enemy states keeps the homeland awash with illegal drugs and it's associated violence.

#2 Racism

The inherently racist beginnings of the European settler state and it's foundations of genocide.

The legacy of slavery and the continued use of the legal system to incarcerate and marginalize the descendants of slavery.

#3 The Ascendancy of Corporate Power

The sacrifice of the citizenry in favour if corporate power in all areas of life. The interests of corporations override thoes of the people in all areas necessary for the healthy functioning of society: food, education, media, politics and the legal system.

I believe those to be the root cause of violence in the United States.

Each of those may be worth discussion but none had the slightest to do with Nicholas Cruz shooting up his school.

(Blame JD and Levi for my new fascination with GIFs.)

A picture truly is worth a thousand words.
It all make sense now. Your clinging to all those guns to make up for those little limp, tiny trees. My apologies bro.

The P.O.s pay for me to cut their trees.

Sometimes they are small & sometimes they are not.

I would love to flop fatties all day, but we on the East Side don’t have the fatties like Yous guys have on the Left Coast.

Same job, it was all pulpwood.

A bunch of Cat Eyes & storm damaged trees that should have been removed years ago.

@hsell ,

So if you were here, you would join a shooting range, or take a hunting course, popo would check you out if you have a criminal record, buy an approved cabinet or two and have at it. As far as I know anyway.
Cluster bombs are now forbidden, efficient and profitable though they were. Full automatic weapons also. Some kind of magazine size restrictions for semi autos. No .50". And no trees over 50m.

I understand that.

We also have the PoPo Check us out with background checks: the form is called a 4473. Every Dealer is required by federal law to complete the 4473 before the sale can be finalized.

Here though, it’s our choice & we choose to secure our firearms in a safe manner as responsible citizens.

I’m not aware of Cluster Bombs or their legality.

FA are already heavily regulated, taxed, & are ridiculously expensive.

$16,000 to start playing the FA game, plus additional Federal Licensing.

No one legally playing the FA game is going to use FA stuff for Criminal activity.

I mean would you drop $20,000 on a toy just to get it taken away?

No 50cals? What about the deadly .50cal black powder rifles CNN was going crazy over last month?

No Trees over 50m?

Exactly.

We want any shit out of you JD, we’ll squeeze your head.

An Armed Society is a Polite Society.

Except on the Intertube of course.

Disagree with the Useful Idiots & you will be excommunicated from their club.

It's just a few hundred for a hunting shotgun here.

No one legally playing the FA game is going to use FA stuff for Criminal activity.
You can imagine the commotion in this little country when that guy killed 77 people all of a sudden. The weapon he used was legally bought. It was a Ruger Mini 14.

Here though, it’s our choice & we choose to secure our firearms in a safe manner as responsible citizens.
I think you have a quite high regard for fellow weapon owners, assuring me that all weapons will be locked safely away by choice.
Many crimes are done in passion of the moment as well. If we were starting to sell guns willy nilly to people who didn't have gun training, I think it's safe to assume more of them would be used to harm people.
You're not correct in that every single person is so nice that we need no rules. Just check out the clientel on this site for example. Some pretty dangerous individuals in need of being held in check, I'd wager.

That last paragraph is based on assumptions.

We in the U.S. are still a Country of Laws.

Until a Law is broken, the individual is a citizen, not a suspect.

I never worry. We have our own marshal service, FBI trained. One of the perks of sovereignity.
No whitey cops can operate with impunity here. Must get permission first!
