We had a great day in the trees today.My lil Lucy out with us and showing her girl friend Shelbey how to use a foot prusik and they both had a blast. they got up to about 35 feet into some beautiful live oaks. Weather was blue sky no wind and about 74* Also brought a new older lady with us. It's so nice seeing someones face when they leave the ground and they trust what you show them. She ended up doing some really nice limb walking, it was tough to get her to come down when it was time to go home. One of these days I will learn how to post some photo's, then ya'll haver to watch out. LOL have a great day ya'll.

I spend more time climbing for recreation than I do for work, I find that I can experiment more when I don't have the time pressures and economical constaints of work.

Hanging Christmas lights in a white oak was fun. Each ball has 100 flashing lights. Finished tree looked pretty cool in a neighborhood of inflatable snowmen.

My kids and wife climb the 50+ oak in our back yard all the time and we are always on the lookout for cool trees to climb when we have the time.

no bivy, too bad you weren't closer, we are going to be doing some real fun climbs at a site where we do alot of work. our sherrill rep is coming down and we are going to try some gear out. never used assender, going to give it try. if i didn't climb for fun every now and then, i would probably forget about the beauty of what we do for work. i couldn't possibly think of a better workout either.

You mean like this? It's only been climbed once while frozen, well sorta, dudes made it to the top to find it was seperated, a friend threw them a rope. It all fell off the next morning, OH SHAT! Sorry pic is so crappy, it's from 1977 or 78? You can see one of the climbers mid route.
