Covid Close To You

Anecdotally, my wife and I both experienced spontaneous disappearance of seemingly unrelated maladies. Within weeks of getting the Vax, I had a wart on my neck just shrink away to nothing, and my wife didn't se this recurring cold sore for nearly 2 years after. We got the Pfizer, but never went beyond a full first round- no boosters. We live in such a rural area, cases are rare here and I didn't like feeling sore around the injection site for a month and a half. Basically all my family are doctors and nurses, and are all fully vaxxed and boostered with no serious side effects, and they've seen A LOT of patients since the beginning of all this, and will tell you that serious side effects are the minority of cases, and nearly always preferable to the horrors they've witnessed first hand. They're not people that lie to their families, and are operating in multiple different states and in other countries.

Every drug or vaccine made has the potential for side effects (as we are learning in the case of Treezy) It is a risk to benefit. I have had every vaccine ever made, I do believe. We used to receive one or two vaccinations every Weekend in preparation for going out of the country, and most recently the Covid vaccine. It did not stop me from getting Covid, but perhaps it was less severe. That being said, I cringe at the government intrusion in the name of "for your own good"

I agree, except the quote should say, "for everyone else's good." It's to protect the whole, not each individual. I am skeptical of everything, but I also subscribe to a logic and evidence based approach.

Another way to look at it is taking the total deaths from Covid in US (1.1m) and dividing by the 18k deaths from the jab- that number by the way is much higher than what the CDC reports, my understanding is the VAERS report is more crowd sourced. That means you are 64x more likely to die from Covid than the vaccine.

On a serious note, I will say that the ivermectin that I took made me feel better very quickly. It worked like an expectorant. Stuff I couldn't cough out because it was like tar, liquified. My sinuses drained and I can finally breath again. I don't think it's great idea to take it as a preventative measure, but only in severe cases. That's my two cents, you can brand me off my rocker if you like.

One time, I had the flu. While waiting at the doctor's office, my fever broke and I started to feel considerably better. Correlation and causation are different.

I know a person who had the j&j vax. Got Covid and recovered for a month or so. A few months later spent a few days in the ICU for swelling in the heart lining.
Most everyone I know closely has been vaccinated some have gotten mild(ish) Covid, others have not. None have died from getting the vaccine, some have had reactions that weren’t near life threatening.
Personally I question if some of my shoulder issues are related to the vaccine. Best I’ve read says some times a vaccine(IM shot) is not administered properly it can lead to joint issues. This wouldn’t be the Covid vaccine unto itself but the skill level of who administers any shot.
I've had a problem with my shoulder since the first vax shot. Doesn't get any better, and it has been a couple of years now. Had two more since then in the other shoulder and no problems from those. Pretty much have to sleep with that one arm over my head or it hurts. Doesn't seem to impede my work, but lying in bed causes it to hurt if my arm is down by my side.
Still, I will take it over dying from Covid.
