Daniel, you obviously didn't read with what I wrote. Why would you disagree, it's stuff that's plain in-your-face. I take your bait from time-to-time because everyone needs to be challenged on what they assert whether it's true or not.

One of my favorite comments from a fellow climber when I'm about to get on rope is, "Are you really going to climb on that?". The most excellent form of provocation towards critical thinking. No matter how confident anyone is about anything they believe, they should hear questions and honestly reflect on what was said. Disparaging or attacking the questioner is a cop-out.

Conspiracy hoarding is a thing, we've discussed this often. So many critical problems facing us that don't require convoluted theories to rationalize. They simply need action on our part to counter, that is productive.

Yeah, the .edu link is simply an overview with a few details of Bubonic Plague in the Middle Ages, and its likely mode of transport from Asian origins to Europe. Parallels to modern times and a reminder of how weirdly mundane the origins of global pandemics can be.

My favorite quote from a skilled Boston area epidemiologist in regard to disease diagnosis is: "Think horses not zebras". A patient will suffer consequences if the most typical cause of a symptom is not ruled out first. Yes, if the horses don't pan out start looking for zebras. The conspiracy theory publishing and online industry is only looking for zebras. It's a strong way to make money, much more exciting than horses.
