300 million for condoms
close to 300 billion total for environmental research

oak wilt to your response a knee jerk reaction is spending 819bilion dollars that we dont have to creat jobs that we dont know where they are going to come from, with more pork than a pig farmer. I guarantee you would produce more jobs if we were to reduce the overall size of the government not borrow more money that we dont have, and spend it on things we dont need like 150b for education, thats important but all that it is is a slush fund, Its a 819b slush fund for all there constituants who got them into office it has NOTHING to do with stimulating the economy, majority of the money will not even be spent unitl 2010 or 2011

In order to create more jobs in the private sector 10's of thousands of jobs WILL have to be lost in the Governmental sector, but no one wants to make the tough descisions to cut the arm off to save the body

you can honestly say that this bill was a good thing? if jobs and re stimulating the economy were are top priorities why is only 1/3 of the funding being spent before 2010?

if we didn't have the money to fund these projects during the last admin, and the economy is in the crapper, WHERE did we get the money now?

Just relax, concentrate on your own business plans, see to your family and friends, and offer help if possible where and when needed. Please read all sides of detailed provisions regarding bills and proposals before Congress, why they are introduced, and the potential outcomes.

Understand the foreclosure elements of the sub and above- prime mortgage mess beyond thinking that only greedy people with no jobs got to buy a home - digest the credit mess beyond what your right wing buddies claim. Study the Military Commissions Act before sprouting off about terror, Homeland Security and Guantanamo, especially your take on Human Rights and a real vs. Hollywood presidency. Know your Constitution beyond 2nd Amendment Rights and browse the 911 Commission Report (now five years old).

It's the knee-jerk responses you're making and the volume of not only the senseless (but understandable) drivel, but the factless claims based on fear and ignorance you're repeating endlessly that originates from the hate-mongers that lost the last election for thankfully all the right reasons (they caused this mess and went so far as to claim "the economy's fundamentally strong" two months before Wall Street went belly-up).

Just relax and keep yourself from flowing full ahead on emotions not grounded in any truths until you more carefully understand the issues. Obama is not a Muslim OR communist by the way. Neither is ACORN, which is only a voting-rights pro-active advocacy organization...which obviously is something the right-wing can't survive alongside of.

I think it is fair to clarify something here Directly for YOU OAKWILT........I am not a person who puts my trust or faith in a party or any politician !!!! For me it is not about sides,dem or rep, winning or loosing an election.I voted for Mcain simply because I thought he would do less damage....Not because I loved him. What I believe we need is honor.integrity.transparency, I do not believe we have those things in Washington. I also believe in a strict adherence to our founding documents,not a liberal interpretation! Should I be sorry about that? This is not about a fight.......simply clarity of position. Some people do believe that the constitution is a living breathing document subject to change with the times! And moral relativism.I do not. Again just clarifying my stance.

Hurting their feelings or not, what I am saying is that it is a uniquely American trait to make broad generalizations about countries and cultures that we have little understanding of.

I would wager that if you were to travel to Iran or Pakistan, you would find human beings, trying to live their lives, with little or no interest in what the U.S. does. Those human beings, like you and I, are capable of great love and compassion, and like you and I, capable of tremendous evil.


I guess it is up to us to decide how we live our lives.

There are plenty of people here in the US who could careless about Asia, and vice versa as you said. But then there are the people who give a damn about the world. I am one of them. The world is better off without Al Qaeda, Hammas, etc etc

Why not answer some of the direct questions in this thread? You and Oak deflect VERY well. You ignore the real questions better.

Barack Obama went to the repubs, not for bipartisan approval. he went there so that when the bill fails, he can say "they voted on it too"!

Answer some questions, then we can have a DISCUSSION.

Again, generalizing people or countries into groups that "hate" our country is what I am concerned with.

Can someone who "hates" our country really have such a major impact on YOUR life? Isn't it a constitutional right to believe what you want to believe, or hate what you want to hate?

I am happy to answer questions, if they are posed from a basis in reality.

ACORN is a terrorist organization.

Bill Ayers is a terrorist, and his connection to Obama.

Al Arabia hates Americans.

Obama gave billions to Mexico to do abortions.

As far as terrorist-loving and supporting countries, Saudi Arabia is where Bin Laden hails from, was born to, is a citizen of as well as 10 of the 11 hijackers who also were and....

It was BUSH that let the Bin Laden family fly back to Saudi Arabia after our skies were emptied on 9/11, has continued support for the Saudis, and has received countless personal gifts from the nation in friendship. Obama never did, never has, and there's zero connections to his life and the Saudis.

Either sit back and let America fix the mess your people got us into, or leave. You accusations of the standing president and his agenda borders on seditious and criminal.

What are you contributing to the rescue of America, huh?

As for generalizations, Easy; you may want to go back and read some of your own. You do need to read BB's entire posts. He said he didn't support Bush, or vote for McCain.


He must of voted for a third party candidate, which is akin to throwing your vote away in this country (sadly).
