Here are some of my favorite generalizations:

Please know that I love everyone equally, and that at the end of the day, I am sure that I could hang out with any tree person, regardless of political or religious views, and have a good time.

GOP's "less government" means political contributors to Bush's failed presidency got away with doctoring lab results on salmonella found in their factories which resulted so far in several deaths and hundreds of sky-high hospital bills.

Somewhere in the middle there's a compromise we're all gonna have to live with.

In truth however, in spite of the swelling omnipotent growth of the big Gov under the last administration, the bulk of the increases were spend more and tax less. To certain classes anyway. Homeland Sec was the largess that popped the balloon, private war contracts ripped the pinhole into a gaping crater, and negative insight to where how much went and why. Mostly cronies and nepotistic supporters, even one well-known web-based tree site's owners who enjoyed open-ended roofing contracts on thousand-percent profit margins, still leaving New Orleans with a fraction of the agreed to work finished, all substandard.

Libertarians have valid issues, indeed. But it's important to know that the mantra of "less government" is connected to industry's interests that less regulation means higher profits, up to and including less or no regulation on safety standards, especially falsified safety data and lab report shopping so that Salmonella and E-coli get whizzed into cheap peanut butter and dog food that euthanizes, and the only consequence left open, liability claims, are silenced from tort reform, also an issue supported by the Libertarian party.

If a true Constitutional reform took place, irregardless of the party pushing for it, it would work wonders. But now there's a Depression looming, old systems failed and drowned beyond recovery, and the entire prospect of "returning" to the past economic attributes is lost forever. Gasoline-powered anything is mandated to change, not by law but realities. Who has that ticket on the plate? Who would dare?

But once and for all, the standard Attack on any attempt to change the system that failed the world has to end, period.
The fear that was Fox-newsed repeated by the minute, Condied Riced to no end and Colin-Powelled to the world has shown what the short-termed end result is, and any more of it will only prolong the pain of change and guarantee the end of humanity as we partially enjoyed it...while it lasted. I no longer HATE the varying colored folk who worship something different that the White Jesus, but certainly recognize the enemies that provoke reactionism.

In short, who else has stepped upto the plate to try? How would've that old guy and his intellectually challenged running mate have fared, given they both insisted "things are pretty healthy, we're doing just fine..except for abortions and no bible classes in the public schools?"

If debate is healthy and the harbinger of appropriate change, why not at least insist that the issues are understood and facts are the basis of opinion? "Hussein" isn't a Commie, Muslim, or Gay guy hiding under the guise of family and McCain/Palin were not family values' adovocates.

What I always mean by small government has NOTHING to do with the deregulation???! I am talking about the actual size of the buearacracy ! The layers of waste! for example go to a fair or flat tax or consumption tax and the shrink the IRS by about 2/3s. go through each department and shrink the layers of crap ....dude you know that government does not run or manage anything very well and the bigger it is the more chances for corruption.THAT is why i prefer small government because they are not a highly functioning entity!! Hopefully this helps clarify my position a little??

Kinda doesn't clarify much when your past posts itemized specifics like abortion and blamed entities like environmentalism. What is it? Smaller and less intrusive govt. with regulating in the hands of industry or just less of whatever it's going to take to save the nation from the unchecked greed of the powerful? I know that govt. ran a tighter ship on consumer protection and safety and foreign intel before Bush took over, to name just two items of national interest. Peanut Corporation of America is but a small example of freedom granted for a corporation to do as it pleases and allowed to police itself. Ron Paul promises the exact same thing in his rhetoric. Business had a chance...biz failed us all miserably.

Smaller govt. I'm all for, but it's never to have it's power taken away because it's ours and it's of us and it's made of laws we need to protect us. To believe corporate America has the answers is why we're a;ll having to bail out the mess it got us into.

Banks couldn't handle trust so now the govt. has to. This means nationalization and that means transparency, something Cheney and Bush made sure didn't exist and now we all have to make certain of it. That's called change my friend, and you're expected to be as much part of it as I and anyone is. Instead of complaining about abortions and possible Cuban relations, how about writing to Cornyn and asking why he wants the new AG to refuse to prosecute Cheney for war crimes? Doesn't really matter, there will be prosecutions anyway, but the right needs to get on board or whatever they fear will happen I guarantee will.

Anyway, I'm just yanking your flip line. Loosen up friend, it's only humanity we're talking about.

With politics we need to answers questions one at a time. Oak you have 50 different topics and questions in ONE short novel sized post. How do you expect anyone to answer those posts in a short, legible, coherent, post? or is that just it, too long to answer it. Kinda like Mahk Adams?!

Just to clarify I VOTED Libertarian, I am not registered Libertarian. I do agree with 90% of their views though. I do not agree with ANY religious beliefs, I have my own. I do NOT agree with their stance on drug legalization.

I LOVE how NO! GOP votes were had on this $819B bill, just like Clinton's largest EVER tax hike. NOONE to blame but dems when, and yes there will be a when, this plan fails.
