Confused on snap cuts

Make sure that there is no hinge.

In the process of the back cut, I cut both sides as a person would do on a hard leaner.

I dump good-sized logs and spars with it, routinely, where appropriate.

Btw, I can cut big face cuts accurately, with under bar length widths, chasing for over bar length widths, and double cutting widths very much more than bar lengths.

This is faster and easier, when used appropriately.

Under cutting the COG with a hinge can lead to the chunk falling forward without releasing, but closing the facecut, forcing the hinge to need to be severed, evenly, without getting your bar potentially trapped/ pulled. Idk if severing one side prematurely might pull the chunk off to the side of the intended lay, or if it might grab your bar or chain. Never had that problem occur.

Bump.

Gord's Magic Cut

Been using it for 15 years.

I'm surprised it's not mainstream.

Some impressive big cuts in that video. Honestly I've seen you mention that cut a bunch of times here but never played with it myself, probably should read this whole thread and give it a go.
