Jimmy, I feel like sending both my Bones and all my rope to you just so you can see what you're missing out on.Ive changed it it now twice , I had the standard length on the tree motion, I just replaced my bridge and shorten it a bit.
Flex you gonna have a baby on that comode in your avatar if I tell you The 11.7 s aren't super bone friendly for a 200 lb man . It'll be sneaky though. Creep in a pinch. I don't know if any of what I just said applys to yourself , but your avatar is great . I was gonna get frank Zappa tattooed on myself in a similar pose ,but then I sobered up.putting papers in the mail tomorrow. 1/2 kmiii now but 600' of something will be coming soon. had my heart set on vortex [because I like the WLL] but all the yale 11.7ers got me second guessing. sup wit dat?

I'm a Ben and Jerry's type. Bet you'd dig cherry Garcia or half baked.seemed like the 11.7 was the favorite flavor. who is running vortex? any mods that are changing cake into ice cream cake?
Congrats . did it at home underwater orr?the lady just had our first a few months ago. did it at home. it was a pretty cool experience
I am one. Vortex is at the top end of what will work well with the BDB. I altered mine quite a bit for it to work the way I wanted it to on Votex but since then Gordon has made some of the same changes on the new Bones, so it should be good. Just let him know what rope you are planning to use. You could get a higher degree of performance most likely with a slightly thinner rope but Vortex is such a great rope for tree work. For myself, I look at all aspects of performance of a system and I'll stick with Vortex.... who is running vortex? any mods that are changing cake into ice cream cake?
My wife has done two that way. It's quite a ride. Congratulationsthe lady just had our first a few months ago. did it at home. it was a pretty cool experience

Would love to see how that works! That bone is ancientI'm trying a vortex mod that I think has great potential.
I have replaced the bottom friction link with a single pin to hold the bottom arms to the spine (allows for adjustment in the width of the gap between the two arms and even the spine thickness).
It also let's you increase the space between the friction pin (slick pin) and the spine.
In effect it gives you unrestricted adjustment for rope diameter.
I haven't tried it weighted yet and the gap in this mock-up needs to be adjusTed. View attachment 30306
