It is. The Bulldog Bone doesn't pair brilliantly with it, but it was a good length for this climb...and I'm not too picky with ropes and getting the perfect combo. I want to get an adjustable bone someday and get my hands on a bunch more rope.Is that Imori rope? Nice pics!
It does have a really nice feel. Noticibly wider than the poison ivy line. Not in a bad way. Real durable tooI've always wanted to try that one, hoping it is slightly smaller than other 1/2" ropes... for the Akimbo. I should just buy a short hank of it and try it. I could always make a long lanyard out of it. I don't need a very long length for testing it... I can usually tell if it's going to work for me with a ten or twenty foot length.
I'll agree with that, Jeff. I've found that with some mechanicals, a skosh of tail weight can suddenly stop minor creep age. Is actually helps ,e adjust just tighter than that and get the highest hold/release ratio.I've always wanted to try that one, hoping it is slightly smaller than other 1/2" ropes... for the Akimbo. It has a nylon core, but unlike others, it has a polyester fiber that interfaces with the inner and outer sheath to "grip" the core and minimize movement and shifting while at the same time giving a grippier feel to the rope.Is imori all polyester or does it have a nylon core?
Morgan has a new device the "Hipster" that I saw at Penn State for lanyards. Very cool device and absolutely minimal size required.
Bump. Any update on this product? Coming soon for a couple of years now:
