Compact Bulldog Bone

Stayed after work and just got done. I couldn't take the easy way out and just use the washer idea. Instead of sending it to Gordon and spending a week or so without the bone, I decided to do what Gordon has done butmade my own counter sinks. Turned out pretty good I think! Let me know what u guys think:)

Looks good, but do they have to be so wide? My only gripe is that it takes away from the elegant design, but only because of aesthetic proportions. Sounds weird, I know, but if only they were 1/2 as thick and I think they would look "right" and still be functional. Am I just too picky?

I think the same thing Eric, I'm going to sand them down more I think

I agree, Eric. But even more than just smaller I would like to see them lighter also. One of the many tuff plastic washers or an aluminum washer with an aluminum bolt would provide the same level of protection at a fraction of the weight.

Tyler, does having them wide like that help with the ergonomics when you squeeze for descent?

Sweet Tyler. Nice frickin work dude! You might try it out and like it better, who knows. If not, you can always make 'em smaller.

Impressed.

There are numbers on loctight? Who knew?

Mmmmm....red loctight. That stuff is almost as good as a weld if the threads are long enough.

Thanks TL, I impressed myself as well.

DSMc, I have not yet climbed with this modification yet. I will have to get back to u on that.

From what I'm seeing with my bone unless it becomes much sloppier nothing much wider than the connection links should suffice to stop crossing link sticking possibility to keep profile slim as user desires.. if the user prefers a wider release handle obviosly were seeing that is a nice possibility the bone opens up. I really like the quick pin idea for bottom tend pin additional if user likes that as well. Did fine without it but if lots of 3:1 is called for to have it at your disposal if a nice feature if that's your style ..the customobility of the device in subtle ways are cool like that imo

Needs to be domed :)

MP321 - The acorn nuts would have to be huge to stop an overlap - more like BMX pegs! Bone freestylin'!
