I had it on my chest harness, and then one time when I unclipped it it stayed on the bone, so I thought i'd leave it on there and try it like that.... but you're definitely right about not keeping clips on the bone - lesson learned.

I love the boatsnap too, especially on my nifty swing chest harness.

Boatsnap= lanyard adjuster. Easy on, easy off and small and quiet. I'll have to try it as my tether connector to.

Looks like a small mouth dogsnap that resides on the tether, with a gate that retracts straight up into the body of the snap would be safest.
