Compact Bulldog Bone

Thanks, Tico. The Mini is really cool, though currently not midline attachable. Not a big deal at all for a lanyard application. I'm realizing that I could run 2 or even 3 thimble loops on my saddle for really large complex crowns. Useful little kit.
Great vid Eric. Yes love those thimble loops and any prusik for that matter. So many answers are contained in those little cords.

I use the Sterling thimble prusic and it works fine. I would prefer a short non thimble prusic because the thimble for me just gets in the way and makes things more bulky when stowed.

Maybe I'll just a couple of each style and see what I like better.

I modified my Petzl Voltige X chest harness into an H shaped harness...The big advantage is that if I want to hang relaxing my back, I can without having the two belts cutting my years or choking me to death like before...A little bulky but I can also wear it on top of the other light one or just alone...I will see...It's also much easier to wear and can support my weight no problem...

That's all you need right there John. The thimble is a little too bulky for my taste too. And my light petzl sequoia is now already too heavy with all the crap I keep hanging off of it....and I'm planning on a TreeMotion next which is nearly double the weight. Oh well, back to the gym.
If it makes you feel better, I climbed on the sequoia for a long time, and the switch to the TM was well worth it. Much more comfortable and easier to organize.

Yeah, the weight only seems to matter when you're not sitting in your climbing line, or when you're carrying your saddle by hand. Do y'all feel the TM stays up better when standing in a crotch with a slack climbing line?

Idk, I guess it depends on how much gear your carrying. I used to prune 70% of my work and the sequoia worked fine. I remember the sequoia pulling down quite a bit with just the 200T at the hip.

But now I do 90% removals and the TM was a well needed change. I wouldn't go back, even if I was doing all pruning.
