Carabiners wanted

Hopefully heading down to Mexico in the next few months, and want to get a couple friends up in trees, in an attempt to continue some training that started in 2009. I have climbing line for them, as well as material for lanyards, including pulleys and hitch cord. What I don't have is enough 'biners.

I remember someone here was selling a lot of gear with a bunch of carabiners, but I was broke or not thinking at the time, or both.

Does anyone have say, six or eight tri-act carabiners for sale? I'm not picky, just don't want to spend too much as this is a charity/training operation.

I may look for someone to sponsor them if I can't purchase, but for now I'm going this route. Thanks,

-Tom

Not to derail...but there is waaaaaaay too easy of a joke there. Sorry...my "biners" are way over refried by the time we're done with them. Good luck in mexico Tom.

Awww c'mon Mac. Nobody seems to get too upset when comedians do it. We honkys got our idiosyncrasies too. Can't dance and we're nerdy.

We honkys have been oppressing other races and cultures for thousands of years. We ought to be less cavalier with the language we use in reference to other races, cultures, and ethnicities.

Sorry for the derail. I have no extra biners Tom.

Well, I tend to go back and forth on the subject. On the one hand, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. On the other, I hate walking on eggshells. On the job we rib each other all day long. Not much is off limits and it makes the time enjoyable. If the line ever gets crossed we say sorry and move on.

Tom, I think caribiners (and rope) are the most used item in all of tree work. Good luck finding someone that wants to get rid of some. Sincerely hope your trip goes well though. Watch out for the 100% agave. Good stuff.
