can workers have lunchtime while driving in truck?

honest days wage., honest days work. would the guy who forfeits his lunch and eats in the truck, only to get a 30 min lunch deduction feel this is honest wage for honest work? if so you are fine. personally I would not. if the option included not getting my lunch deducted I would be ok with it, but that is the workers choice. if you muddy the honest days wage , they are not going to be motivated to give a honest days work.

to put this in perspective. when I owned my own company I always ate on the road, and I was driving. but this was because I was making money. I made more money doing this. point is when your workers do this you are making more money, and you cannot ask them to do that for free.

just my thoughts.

We usually stop because the foreman the driver and the climber are usually the same person so if he shuts down when you get to where you're going that stops the rest of the guys anyways. But they are more than welcome to eat anytime that we are driving. We do like snacks.
