I've had my 70-36AJ for 2 weeks now. I will say that ascent is faster than descent. Upper and lower boom travel are similar in speed to my XT55, rotation is slower. A significant amount of time will be spent learning the limitations of the machine and learning various ways to set up the outriggers. They are the most frustrating thing in my opinion. Pleased with the boom travel speed though.

Closest answer I can provide since there is no video available... Thank you to The Tree Specialists for the picture. Please note the outriggers travel span is at its lowest position. Tracks can be lifted 4 feet off the ground with both the 61-36A and the 70-36AJ. Bottom line: same height; but slower speed than bucket.
Hope this answers the question.

I just purchased the 61-36A, the buzzer goes off before I reach 36’, that’s 36’ from the center of the boom. No matter what angle I have the first boom at, I was told 35 degrees, but I can lay it all the way down and it still goes off. Is anyone else having problems like this?

Is your bottom boom all the way up? Sometimes I put mine down a little, so there isn’t a lot of pressure over the outriggers your going over. I have a 70-36. Also what kind of ground are you on ? Sometimes soft wet ground under my outrigger pads doesn’t let me scope all the way out. If your going lower then 35 degrees maybe get the lift closer to where you need to be?

I've owned a 70 for a short time.. One week lol and in my experience other than ideal conditions on site setup achieving max reach is not going happen often. I like that the machine doesnt let you get silly with it and knows it's own limits personally, it has to!.Going slow and changing angles helps As Deevo states. Rarely am I working on solid firm ground, that's what matters most for a lifts stabilization as it ballasts our weight bouncing around out there. Finding couple mats under each stabilizer and out rigger pads of course help, but I've already anticipated and realized very quickly if I get over 20 feet of side reach that's perfectly fine for me alot of the time. The beauty I'm noting is how quick I can move and change setup if I need. The lightness and how nimble blows my mind.
