Anyone conceal carry while working?

I like the Taser thought Royce, depending on his state. I was actually just looking at them myself as a less permanent solution to the problem at hand. Now that would also depend on the problem at hand, they have a reload rate of about 3 seconds.

I hear you can get some that are real small but pack a powerful punch. Most often there is an argument and someone gets in your face. Thats when you could pull it out and zap them. Personally I don't think I need one here in VT. But is some areas it might be nice ti have it just for piece of mind. Better than shooting someone

It starts off with a trimmer but could also be far more than that. Who is to say they are going to just steal it and go if you walk away? Leaving witnesses isn't a good thing to a criminal...

I would bring a huge dog so it could shit all over the customers lawn so they can know how we feel when they don't clean up. Sorry just trying to bring two recent threads into the mix. You enter my home, i'll shoot you, you try to enter my vehicle with intent to harm me or my family, ill shoot you. If I'm alone, i'll get out the other side and have at it. If I am on a job site, have at it. I could use some new saws. If I'm in the store and I cant escape or the person is killing other people i'll shoot but i'll likely already be shot or get shot doing so. Just 2 cents

Dogs, and other animals, are another threat... Never know when one will attack you.

I spent 5 hunting seasons in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming. I never had to shoot anything that was going to either hurt me or eat me. I don't think you risk being eaten by a mountain lion or a grizz while cutting grass. I could be wrong, there have been an increase in Yetti sightings lately.

True, but there is always a first time.

I think you would be better to theme your biz around LARPING https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_action_role-playing_game

You could have a custom made chain mail Kevlar suit and have a shield with your family crest on it. A lovely Knights helmet and a custom paintjob for your trusty steed named Kubota. This will solve a few problems. 1. Sets you apart from the rest of the lawn jockeys. 2. The armor will protect you from predatory mammal attacks and the chain mail will keep the shark from the pool from biting off your leg. 3. No one will ever consider robbing you because you're obviously bat shit crazy! Viola, problem solved with no bloodshed.

Around here the best use of a gun would be to fend off a packs of stray pit bulls. Still, I'd rather spend the money on a Runner or treeMotion. I'd get more use from them. And the few hours a month I'd spend at the range - which can be fun - I could spend in a tree, which would make me happier. I'm not naive and I'm very aware of my surroundings. I've been mugged and I've been inside a store during an armed robbery and shootout. Still, I'm not feeling the need to carry, but do what you feel is necessary. I've been hit by lightning so maybe statistically I'm due to be shot, but I'd rank it only slightly higher than winning the lottery or being beheaded by ISIS, and a lot lower than having my TIP blow out.

I lived in on the edge of a sketchy neighborhood in a townhouse. The underground garage was broken into. I stopped locking my door because my daughters were always losing their keys. We all came down to NJ for the weekend I was married. House unlocked. Nothing happened. As for wild animals, I lived in the Rockies where we had bears regularly roam onto the property, a large resort, and even ambled down the halls of the male staff cabin. No guns were ever drawn, just a lot of yelling and a few rocks tossed.

Shut the idiot box off and go and see the real world. It ain't that bad out there!

Seems to me you ought to be looking for clients in nicer neighborhoods. I can't imagine that the commercial mowing rates in crack town are worth the time and trouble in the first place. Personally, I don't want to even think about living the rest of my life with "Yeah, I shot some poor schlub over a mower" as my mental wallpaper.
