Anyone conceal carry while working?

Texas just recently became an open carry state. All the while pa has been enjoying this right since it's been a state. People forget that concealed carry isn't the right its open carry.
Is there a right to own and drive a car?
I think it was always a open carry state, many are, but there was another law not he books that said said you could not incite a panic, ohio is like this. we are a open carry state but you cannot incite a panic. so if someone does not like you gun all they need to do is freak out and get others to freak out. and you get arrested.

and yes you do have a right to drive a car if you follow the proper procedure. just because its not in the original bill of rights does not mean its not on the books.. Washington passes thousands of new laws every year. those laws outline what you are and are not allowed to do.

2nd amendment RIGHTS, but in the USA we are having difficulty understanding how to define them, it's not a God given right if you believe in those. Driving is a privilege not in the Constitution and pretty sure God could careless how you move around.

Contrary to popular belief Texas was not an open carry state.
I forgot to address the main OP question. Check out Hill people gear, they have chest carriers that I use for backpacking/biking and generally anytime in the woods.

that is interesting, i guess i just thought if Ohio was open carry, than texas must have been. there was talk of ohio going to open carry, or rather dealing with the inciting panic thing which would make it less troublesome to carry open. but I hope it never does.

that is a neat idea on the carriers that hill people make.. .

that is insane. stupid and if those morons got shot by the police I would hope the police would not be held responsible . i am actually interested in what they thought they were actually doing..

this is not the same as CCW.

Well, not surprising in the least.

Being a Canadian and still finding the idea of being strapped in public weird, I'll concede that concealed carry of a hand gun might save you if you're cornered by a shooter in a school or a club. I realize that's a fear that Americans have.

The picture of the black guy that circulated widely as a suspect, especially by racist groups turned out to be a guy who smartly realized before things got out of hand that he could easily be mistaken for a shooter. He turned his weapon in when the shooting started.
On a side note, if that was a white guy, a meme would have been created with the flag in the background showing a 'true patriot' protecting wimmim and chilluns.

I acknowledge these are snarky cynical comments.

Why shouldn't I protect myself? What is to stop someone from pulling a gun on me and taking my mower? Or my trimmer, blower, or anything. They are high value targets when they say Commercial on them...
I actually heard of this happening to a roofing contractor , the neighbor saw him about to take a compressor while the roofers where in the back yard .The suspect then flashed the gun so the neighbor could see it and held his finger on his other hand and said shhhhhh.

If I was that neighbor I'd have gone back in the house.

But I'd be back out shortly.

I have lived and travelled abroad. People's opinions vary of course, and I haven't been to every country, but the feeling I get is that the rest of the world admires the success of Americans.
Sure. Second and third world countries. I'm no backpacker, but I've been to places. And Americans are the laughing stock of the first world. I've been there in winter for a while, and loved it. But even in America lots of people find them selves the laughing stock of the first world.
I don't know of an other country (maybe Canada?) where you can get through college by playing sports. And if you don't have really wealthy parrents you'll have a major dept by the time you finish university. All other coutries I know of, pay you to go to college and university.

A burger costing a dollar and a fresh croissants 4. Only a very few third world countries have a higher chance of getting shot. And they most likely are in some civil war. And still you don't want to change.

Like I said, I loved being there. So lost of stuff I appreciated. And think we I Europe should change a bit. But the second amendment is not one of them.[emoji6]

I suppose if I asked that specific question with "admire", asking for a yes or no answer, I'm afraid it would be followed by but,.......
I've traveled a little and I couldn't say that, "admire" reflects the sentiment I've heard.
