2010 International Geezers open

Re: an eerie quiet in the thread....

Yea they said if you dropped a piece of gear aloft, and called all clear before the thud, it would be like work, just send it back up no problem.

Well I was making the jump from hand bell to limb toss(nice set up Josephine) I just missed and I mean I just missed it. Ended up taking a real nice swing if I wanted to hit the pine tree but that's not were we were to be. Anyway as I came around the pine I ducked and bobbed and my helmet and helmet alone came off ( yes my chin strap was on, just not tight enough) it went flying towards 4 folks on the ground floor who did not see it coming at them. So I gave the All clear and know one was hurt.

But come on you loss a lid you got to go.

Re: All ends well at Geezers 2010

The Geezers is a state of mind man. If you can remember any of it, you weren't there. Every once in a while I'll get this crazy tie dyed flashback, but then it's gone. I did learn that I really like the people that rode in the van from Charlotte with me. Regardless of what happened back there on the road. I may have said some things that are too hard to take back. If I offended anyone in the van, I'm sorry. OK? Are we good? No matter what happened, I can't wait for more.

I missed the waffles but I did hear that they were awesome.

My son keeps talking about the kids climb. He said it was the best ever and he keeps talking about you holding him over your head and taking a picture and about Jesse in the tree "bed" as he calls it. You guys and gals really rocked that event! Even our older lady loved it!

Re: All ends well at Geezers 2010

Next time we should use a tree boat.
And please please please can we skip the redirects or at least have another double pulley to reduce the friction?

Best day ever!
Kids really do say the darndest things.
Too bad we cant hand out copies of the Lorax.

Re: All ends well at Geezers 2010

ThanX! again to all the Geezers! Especially Scotty, Danae, Rich, Bob Jim and everyone else who made us feel welcome!

Already planning on next year, it is in the budget for sure. Just debating whether to bring the crew or the Mrs. (both have advantages and disadvantages!)

I suspect that in the not too distant future I may be calling on the Geezer Crew to come and do a "nawthun vurzhun" here in VT!

How is your brother, Rick?

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry I missed your question!

He is doing well. He did have an MI and has since had another bout with unstable angina.

right now the facts are that his Right Coronary Artery (known as the widow maker) is congenitally smaller than it should be but is open, for now.

The bypass grafts he already has are still deteriorating. One is completely blocked and cannot be opened. The other was blocked but was opened. It is anticipated that this will block up again in the relatively near future.

They have him on new meds to control the angina but surgery is the only real fix they can see helping. But he is not a candidate for a variety of reasons and they are buying time until he can be a candidate.

Otherwise, "it is what it is" as we say in our family...poor genes makes this something several of us have dealt with over the years.

Truth be told, I am very worried about him. The last time I saw the disease manifest itself this way it didn't turn out too good. then again, medicine has come a long way since then...so we'll see.

ThanX for Asking!
