My guess is that it's going to take more than a few 12 oz's ;-)

Hi Cerviarborist from St Petersburg.

Hi Rocky J Squirrel from Orlando

TreeSpyder from Lakeland

Dunlap Texas

Treeseer North Carolina

Blinky, research triangle Wazzzzup?

And so many others. Howdy. It's Friday night, 10:00 pm. The Tree Machine is thinking to himself, 'I wonder what they're doing at Geezers?'. But really, I know dang well what you're doing.

I feel like there's a bonfire there, maybe, and tree climbing. My fellow bretheren arborists are going to be CLIMBING TREES AT NIGHT. And competing.

A good number of you yahoos are gonna be sleeping up in the trees, with Florida's recent cold spell, the bugs should be nil.

Well you guys have fun. Be safe.

You know what they say about night time tree climbing and beer....?

Throw in some women and have a whale of a time!

Re: an eerie quiet in the thread....

Yes I did climb a tree at night on Friday.

A good time was had today at the Geezers.

Winner is Bruce Duffy. Runner up, Mark Moeske. And first time Masters Challenge competitor Glen Peroni came in third place.

I was at the kids climb all day, so I missed out on watching my friends compete. Boo-hoo. I got to judge in the masters, and that made the whole weekend that much better.

About to head out to Jennifer Lane to party down with some of the coolest and oldest tree people in the world. The oldest climber today was 1 million years old. He placed well, considering his advanced years.

Party on, Wayne. Party on, Garth.

Re: an eerie quiet in the thread....

Bruce Duffy is a sandbagger. He smokes many a younger climber up here in our neck of the woods, then comes down South and pretends to be a 'geezer.' Yeah, right. ;-)

(PS - Congrats to Glenn! Keep it up!)

Re: an eerie quiet in the thread....

ThanX to all who ran the geezers...great time, ready to snooze and hit the road! Prayers for safe travels heading everyone's way.

Hey EZ, sorry if I didn't connect your screen name with your face this weekend I was a tad bit out of my element not knowing what the heck I was doing!

ThanX to everyone else for tolerating a couple of neophytes.

See ya next year!

Re: an eerie quiet in the thread....

Had an absolutely great time! So neat getting to meet and hang out with so many online friends, as well as renewing acquaintances with lots of good folks I hadn't seen in awhile. Kudos to Scotty, Danae and everyone who helped pull it together, to the kind folks who fed us, and to all the volunteers who made a very special event come to life!

Safe travels to everyone on your way home. Can't wait to see ya'll again!

Re: an eerie quiet in the thread....

OK now that the Geezers is over til 2011, how can I possibly bribe some of you wonderful people who came down to help out, to make another trip next month to help out with the Florida Chapter TCC?? PLEASE

Re: an eerie quiet in the thread....

I am home and unfortunately it is cold and I have to go to work tomorrow. This year's geezers was a blast and I can't wait till next year. A lot of stories were told. A lot of memories and good times were had and it's almost saddening when everyone starts to part ways as the short time in Florida was merely a passing. So in ending Scotty, and Danae you rock!!!! Bruce Duffy is still the man. EZ, I hope you washed the hood to that van. See you all soon and definately at next year's geezers.

Re: an eerie quiet in the thread....

I am soo sad it is over! I miss you guys already! I am seriously considering spending my birthday relaxing in Charlotte and seeing about being a helper!

Re: an eerie quiet in the thread....

the geezers rocks. i can't wait to see everyone again.

Re: an eerie quiet in the thread....

I learned that if you leave your hotel window cracked open, even just a few inches, that Steve Cheely will get into the room.

I also learned that PUClimber is not afraid to flaunt possible jail time for public urination out of a hotel window onto a rental minivan.

One more thing I learned this weekend: I love all you guys and girls.

I had a great time and nice to meet you folks, Blah blah blah and stuff. Plus I just wanted everyone to know that Jesse Huffman lost my Carabiner. It was my favorite Carabiner.

I did.
