Golf is a good walk ruined.
...sort of like how tree work is a good climb ruined. (not really)
Ohh... I just wanted to reiterate that I am going to the geezers in 2009, so if there is any more need for judges etc... I am volunteering thus.
Damn! I can't believe I missed it. Well, I'm glad ya'll had fun. We'll have to schedule a February Cold Mountain Freeze yo a## off climb over here in WNC!! Ha!
...yeah, the sales part can be tricky, especially when you really love doing the work. Too often I find that I am giving a homeowner a ridiculously low price just so I can climb their really nice tree. Then... well I don't make any money.
...but I like climbing... it's a vicious cycle.
I think it's pretty interesting being someone who started climbing using "new skool" techniques.
I know I compare to skating alot, but I think it's really similar. For instance, I began skating new skool street only. Then I began skating more transition and ramps, blending old skool skating...
Next time you come down south I'd like to see that in action. I'm having a little trouble totally imagining it, but it does sound like a cool set up to play around with.
Sweet idea.
Re: Women competing in next year\'s ISA TCC
Unless Camille comes back from Vermont to work for John, she'll probably be for her New England Chapter. I'm going to Southern, and extending a free invite for anyone from Wilson. So, anyone from Southern needs to look out for Georgia now! Last I...
Re: Say it ain\'t so....
I've worked and ended up unemployed several times after working with employers who are stuck in the "Customer is always right" mindset. My opinion is that employers are 99% to blame for that stuff existing anymore. From the few podunk companies I've worked for who...
It's all about the Benjamins. $$
And I'd say 99% of customers just don't have a clue. This is an industry of small businesses, so we can understand the big picture, which is why it makes us upset to no end.
I'd compare it to the larger skateboard scene in alot of ways. No body wears a...
Word. I'm having a little climbing comp withdraw since the last CAA-TCC. I'm ready to get back in action and doing some REAL climbing. Too many removals these days.
Count me in! And if there's any Karolina Krew that need a ride, I can fit four. If there's more than that, maybe we can put a couch or two in the back of the chip box.
Re: Replacing/backing-up the bridge on a Butterfly
The new replacement bridges for the B-fly are braided too, and they don't fray from the swivels like the old nylon sheath ones.
Hey Mike, just giving you a shout out! Things are going well back in WNC, but for some reason, I'm missing Ol' Urbana. Don't have too much fun with that R&R!
I can't wait till I get my Sequoia. I'm gonna work that shat outta that thing!! If it starts to fray, I'll call it bunk. Until then though... that saddle rocks.
