I've only had to replace one jib pipe on the 55 ton in 9 yrs. and one on the 175 ton in 4 yrs. My old 30 ton hiab was a monthly pipe or cyl...or something major nightmare. David J stopped by last wk. One of the things he commented on was he thought they were more fragile than what he saw...
I don't know about an amsteel bridge (although I joked about having one on TB a few mos ago) but I think all saddles should come standard with an emergency back up bridge. If I hear one more story about bridge failure.....I'm going to rig two bridges on my saddles and clip into both.
Out of all the people that have come out here to watch my kbooms work, none have bought stick booms. 80 percent have bought kbooms. Some looked at the price of all the equip and pushed more money into their PHC divisions instead. (new spray truck is very cheap comparatively:)
