An idea alone is kind of like that black walnut tree in a yard next to the garage and over the powerlines that the owner wants to sell you to cut down. There is potentially many thousands of fine furniture in there but its all in the processing.
My experience with EAB is that the wood maintains strength and hinge wood long after the tree is dead, but the roots decay very quickly and the tree becomes unstable. I never found that the wood itself was decayed or rotten.
You can get a provisional patent which you can file for 100$ you can do it yourself or have it professionally done with a patent artist and a lawyer to right it up which could be 4k or more. This gives you a head start on a real patent

Like did you give them to somebody at least? I've had a couple cmi blocks for close to 20 years. I have some nice isc and dmm and notch blocks as well. But I PREFER the CMI. I still want more.
