Yup Lumberjack and Allmark both took video! A big Thank You to everyone there and for all the help: Whiz (brings lots of energy), Lumberjack (Carl knows every spec for just about any piece of equip......right off the top of his head), Allmark (peach master), Michelle form the Ohio Chapter ISA...
Thank You Axe! I really appreciate everyone being there and appreciate Eric and TC INC for letting me use his crane (it took me a while to get used to the newer controls but what a sweet rig. I'm just glad I didn't scratch it :) Had a great time hangin out and meeting everyone!
I'm Rollin in for the free lunch and hangin out! Pretty good chance I'm bringin the EFFER 1750 for all or part of the Ash tree removal! Sounds like good times. Really looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Yeah Mark that is sad. I've got a tree here with the same story only it's a Macrocarpa. It's still doing well though so the story is happy for now:) but have removed about a hundred centurions this winter......sad but not as sad as the 250-300 yr old oak of yours! Would be interesting to count...
My vote is Calocedrus decurrens (California Incense Cedar) as long as you're in USDA zone 5b or higher. I have planted the only ones known in IL (I imagine others have them tucked away but Ive checked with curators at nearby arboretums) a beautiful fast grower....I think spring grove has a...
Sorry to hear about this Tierson. Must be a terrible thing to go through. The only positives are NO ONE GOT HURT!, lots of people will learn from your post, and sounds like the crane wasn't totaled. I've worked with you a day or two.....so I know you are very safety minded. It only takes one...
Thought I would mention we had a storm here in early aug and ALL insurance co's paid with no prob........except for all state........adj Jose gonzales has been giving me the run around for a couple mos! (job was bid upfront......approved by agent! And now I get "oh you want to get paid...
David thanks for thinking of me I just got in and got your txts! I can't make it on this one.....very sorry. I'm swamped with work (so much that I wasn't going to make TCIA) looks like you've got some great help lined up.....better make some calls to crane rental co's! STAY SAFE! maybe I can...
Yep still lovin mine. Need to send it to ehp! Ed......brother I still can't believe how much power you can get out of a saw!???! With no longevity issues compared to stock. The Husky 3120 and Dolmar 7900 you "did up" still freakin' torch through stuff! The first saw you did yrs ago dolmar...
Just my 2 cents......been running toro dingos since 2005.......NO ISSUES.....ever. The controls are precise (my 11 yr old runs them through gates with only an inch or two on each side.....like a boss.) they're light which helps since mine ride on the chippers. I do like the others though.
Yeah Jeff, I'm thinking the same thing.......I have to pay to dump logs like that! Wow Cam 500$ sounds great to me especially looking at the lg column of decay at the base. Glad you're lovin' your crane.....that's the most important thing :)
"was worried about the time it would take" obviously he had never seen You climb before. (that was a compliment.......don't let it go to your head :) lol
No way......all climbing done on a single buckstrap.......and lg sections rigged and let bomb drop.......boom dangerously deflecting etc. Sounds like a company that needs to be shut down! Did I read that right?........40 fractures to the face? WOW......
Oh......Lord! Wth......look at the weight for that lil' crane! That's got to be over 800 lbs per ft.....times ?12 ft? Hoping everyones ok there......anyone can make mistakes so I don't want to disrespect or anything but yeah first the weight......yep then rigging etc. If the climber didn't get...
Congrat's on the new crane Cameron.......glad it's working out for Ya! (would be interesting for you to keep tabs on these jobs for a year to see how the roadmaster you were looking at would've worked out :)
Chris the day I read this I felt the sick feeling you must have had watching this waiting to see just how dirty or damp his rope was. I mean just a little dirt or sweat on that rope and ............
