    Had to be overload or serious shock load right? Neither ground or outriggers failed...so..... Chart on that probably wasn't as strong off the side as it would've been off the back etc.

    Not Cryptomeria. I thought someone would guess Pinus.......it's not Pine either. The tree in the photo is about a century old. Have a 3 yr old in my yard....only 2 ft tall.

    Sorry Robinia you are incorrect.......on the small one. It is Kalopanax pictus (has good to decent possibilities as a park or lawn "orny":) ROBINIA IS CORRECT on the OAK! This is the largest and FASTEST GROWING of all the trees in Kew!!!

    No Beech but is in fagacae family. (the large tree that is) the lg tree is native to the Caucasus. The small tree is native to Asia.

    Looks great in that setting. Red Oak? They better put some kind of: boiled linseed oil, sanding seal, marine grade polyurethane, etc. on that before it checks along the rays. Love the footrest too......no wasted material!

    Good eye Robinia.....that is Kew! Negative on the guesses. Small tree can get lg. has leaves similar to full moon maple but it is not maple. Lg tree is uhhhhh LARGE......and it is in Kew ;)
