I found resistance with the tending point on the runner being lopsided. I have a throw line loop running to the other side of the slick pin. More symmetrical
Red one in first post is the new tribe twist. Which I would recommend for the six year old.
They make the kids basic with side d's as well which I would recommend for the ten year old.
Both are great harnesses. My boy just graduated to the basic and he is really stoked on it.
She is six, so probably just positioning. Who knows how much she actually uses them. I just got a bug up my ass about it. Harness didn't look right without d's
Alright, tell me I am crazy. I think it's pretty legit. For the daughter, she's less than sixty lb. Gonna put some lock stitches on the knots. The knotting is super convoluted. I forgot how to do it by the time I got to the second one, took me a bit to refigure.. ?
first two are my ten yr old, he was climbing doubled rope, on his own. Threw his TIP in three shots. Last one my six yr old she was mainly just swinging around. They both had a blast. He woke up the next morning and was out at the tree again within two hours.
Was running this set up with two
Foot ascenders the other day. I like it. Was surprised how smooth it went. Any other time I've tried ascent it was a Gotdam yard sale
If loaded with enough force it could pinch rope to failure. I run one as a bridge adjuster and just have a thin back up bridge that doesn't run through the rollnlock in case.
