You would benefit from trying a couple of Stable Braid or similar rope (Husky for example) splices first. The Yale 11.7's (Blue Moon et al) have a tighter outer braid.
Splicing used ropes is another kettle of fish. Good luck with your endeavors.
I have to wiggle the relay on mine about half the time I try to start my 650. Or it doesn't crank over. (~1350 hours) Havent tried dielectric grease on relay contacts yet.
Yes possible. Machine is able to lift more than its center of gravity. Counterweights will increase the tipping load. As will transporting something up a steep gradient.

My 6" Bandit has a 35hp Hatz diesel. Sourcing parts for it is a hassle, and they are spendy.
Dusclaimer: I have changed knife bolts & nuts exactly 1 time since buying my Bandit 65XP in 2006 (The hour meter broke years ago with 1800+ hours on it.) Have never used a torque wrench on them bolts. I'm just a lucky guy is all.
