Spar work seems best with midline attachable stuff. The super simple and straight to the point Unicender is often overlooked these days, but I highly recommend it. The Uni can be rebuilt too. If you are spiking down, then the Uni won't see much wear. And if you are bombing down 100ft you can...
Hi,
I am entering the quagmire of dual systems, and reaping rewards. Like it or loathe it, it undeniably enhances work positioning safety. The retailer ODSK and I have been banging the drum, running workshops about anchoring safety, for a good while. And taking those ideas I decided to run...
First step on that journey is to watch the webinar.
Basically, a loop, can be drawn away and toward you. Things can be attached and manipulated from a distance.
MRS, in its conventional setting, loses the working end when being retrieved. If you set up MRS like the French sometimes do...
It can be retrieved, that is the unique thing about this stationary system. Tree anchors are always the most difficult thing, but this thread is about a rope system. And a s I said above to Richard, dual systems can be applied to any system.
Tree Access? TRT can be applied as safely or dangerously as any other system. If you are adding second systems then second systems can also work alongside TRT. Sorry Richard, don't get your point, mate. I don't recall anybody saying that TRT had some inherent safety feature. It is a rope...
OK guys, here it is, 3 plus hours of nerdy thin rope technique.. ahum, my mistake, TWIN ROPE TECHNIQUE. Use it or not, TRT taught me a lot about configuration, anchor design and rope management. Theoretically, the most interesting rope system, bar none.
Lawrence Schultz was getting into it so...
Actually, the people in the studio are amazing treemen and women. Chosen to show body size difference but chosen because they are REAL!
Sales will be direct from the KIYARI website.
As I mentioned, connecting the above email address will get you to the right place.
Many thanks
@Mark Chisholm is this OK to post?
Very happy to announce 'pre-sales' sales of the 'KIYARI' chainsaw protection trousers. They are designed and sold in Japan. A lightweight, climber inspired design, European(Class 1) and real world tested. A unique design that are amazing to move in. The...
haha, thanks Moss, too kind. To be honest, once I bit the bullet on the DMM thingy I haven't looked back. But I also agree with Steve, there is no reason to doubt the CAMP stuff. I like the modular nature of the linkits, being able to choose shackle shape and overall gain is useful. I see...
That sounds odd. After the initial shotgun-going-off sound as the plates are opened, single line descent should be fast and smooth (control mode). Your control hand should be just feathering the line. In fact, it takes such a small amount of force to stop descent that it is possible to...
joshin' Tom, I think it is an attractive add-on. Looks very well done, if that's the kind of thing that one needs. I'd like to try it but I also have no problem going au natural. I run two Uni's these days. Half the loading, less wear, lighter feeling on descent etc.
