Exactly what Venas said, been there with mine, it’ll be the cap and rotors, change the plugs and wires while your at it, make sure they set the timing right ours was out 11 degrees. Make sure they hook up their laptop to check the timing. Easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing.
There’s a place not too far from me that sells/rents them, lots of sensor issues not really rugged for tree work, I know a few guys that Demo‘d them had major issues and let’s just say didn’t buy one. A lot of us here are running easy lifts. Dependable, rugged, no computer nonsense Straight...
I have the same 18 R same as yours, had the cap issue, was fixed. You can get those oil filters from any Vermeer, bandit Napa wherever. We love our gasser, starts at -20, chips 20” logs whenever it has to not a problem, I’m never going back to a diesel chipper. I have another chipper with tier 3...
Yep same here I’ve done thousands of trees with cow hitches, I run 2 cranes Daily, and if tied correctly backed up with 2 half hitches are 100% secure as we know Steve, comes down to user error on this one. This should have nothing to do with the slings guys. I have Marks set and 2 sets of the...
You get used to the slower speed then a bucket truck. Can still slam out the trees faster, safer and more efficiently then climbing and not go home beat up or dead tired at the end of the day.;)
There used to be one in Ontario, ran ok for a few years, then started having major issues that couldn’t be fixed I think it’s mothballed now. 0 in Ontario that I know of.
Just for perspective and reliability I’m going on my 8th season with my easy lift. Only replaced a few hoses. Put a fresh battery in it. Still a solid machine runs like the day I got it. Funny how almost no ones running Tuepens anymore isn’t it? :birra:
Times a 1000 on that the guys a weapon and almost died how many times? May be a nice guy but shouldn’t be doing tree work if he wants to see 50
@Reg Coates by far is the best and has the best videos out there, very humble no bs straight shooter tells it how it is guy, then most of who everyone...
I’ve done hundreds of Rigguy installations, by far the best system out there! I inspect all my cabling jobs every 2 years paid by the customer of course. they are very efficient and strong.
I second what @Reach says, buy some Sena’s first off, depending on the tree if your going to need slings to balance the picks, get the teufelberger @Mark Chisholm slings, or the wesspur slings, use round slings for the trunk wood. If your a member of TCIA get the crane operations manual...
I have a 1260 with that engine runs good, I recently had to get thr fuel pump replaced at 51 hours which was covered under warranty but otherwise runs great
