    I may try it. Looks like a Singing Tree iteration of the hitch hiker, with the friction below the hitch instead of above, and with good tending given the pulley.

    6mm is fine, just try and get it out of the way. Loop it around a fence post or rock or branch or whatever to keep it tangle free, or tie a throw ball on the end so it doesn't move around.

    I use a Zeppelin bend on the retrieval side of a base tie when more length is needed. Easy to tie, easy to untie(even after loading heavily), easy to dress, set and verify. Also use it on rigging lines when pulling something.

    The Gyro swivel is a game changer as far as not getting lines twisted. There is always a way around it. If you're only using one system the extra hole can be used to attach a knee ascender. I love mine.

    Worth a read. I can admit to being one who wanted a more literal rebuke of what is happening and had trouble seeing what Lamar was doing. I will say that as soon as I saw Samuel Jackson, I knew something was happening because he is nobody's lapdog.
