My company strictly uses Stihl products. However since pricing Bailey's woodlandpro chains, I've found I can save a boat load of cash. Has anyone used these chains extensively? Any comments or reviews would be a huge help.
Haven't been on the buzz much this past year.....started watching this video and was like, "Hey I know that guy!" Envious of the left coast trees. Hope all is well Lawrence!
Recently our company completed the annual first aid and cpr training required by industry standards. I wont mention the provider's name for sake of there reputation, but I was very displeased. I felt like there was little or no consideration for the type of work we do or the injuries we may...
So I started the day by pulling our brand new man lift, that I was supposed to be "testing", into a yard and quickly running out of fuel while at near full extension. (please note that I now know there are such features that make this a "not so big deal".) Strike 1. Then while backing our...
So the other day I was taking down a 70-80 ft poplar tree next to a house with the use of a 28 ton crane. I was on the 2nd or third piece. We had the boom at max length and it was just long enough to reach the pick, however the ball was only about 2 ft from where I had to attach the sling. I...
It's been months since I've checked this thread...or even been on the site, my bad. It's awesome to see people still speaking the truth! And others still...well....drunk apparently. But anyway I thought I should share this... Yesterday my crew and I were dropping some dead oaks near a house...
I'm preparing to hang lantern style lights all over a few trees for an outdoor wedding. Does anyone still have or know where I can get ahold of black throwline for the purpose of suspending the lights?
When I think of dying I hope that it is swift but also, I want to see it coming. Like a long fall. I'm sure we've all been in a situation where our brain says, "this is gonna suck." Like when you hit a massive kicker with the intent of doing a nice slow, crossed up, 360, but instead hit it at...
I love when I leave this thread for a day or two and there's another page. I love catching up with everything. And fyi, anyone is welcome here. The God I worship, when he walked the earth, chatted and had dinner with the scum of it. Not saying people are scum, but he didn't care who he hung...
I'm sorry, I didn't realize trying to encourage other people in the same professional field as myself was "throwing religion". This thread has one topic. People choose to read and comment. It's funny to me that people who are not Christians or not "religious" will make it a point to jump on...
Thanks for your input. Not sure what "weight" you're referring to..."For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matt-11:30 Please, if you want to question my belief, just ask. If you want to slam someone for being who they are......you could always pick on the "women of the trees" for...
So It's been a while since anything's been added to this thread and I think it should keep going. Treebuzz is too good of platform to Not use. I've been studying they ways that tree wounds are similar to our own spiritual, physical, and emotional wounds in preparation for a message in a couple...
Friends of mine are getting married outside this fall and have asked me to research lights to be hung in trees, not Christmas lights, but lantern style. Just curious if anybody has done something like this, at this capacity, and what type of lights they used, and where they found them.
Giving praise to God, simply put is giving him the recognition He deserves. I personally don't think He cares where or we praise him as long as we keep our motives in check.
Going to be spending a few weeks visiting family near Myrtle Beach and was wondering if anybody is willing to take me on for a short stint. Let me know. I looked at companys online and didn't see many....at least ones I'd be interested in. The "best" site I saw had a pic of a guy wearing a nut...
