Jungle Aviation and Radio Service, but they worked closely with MAF also. My wife tells me he was mostly in Eastern PNG and so may not have landed at this particular airstrip.
A good read is a book called "Poking Holes in the Darkness" by a neighbor of theirs, Jaki Parlier.

That is neat Paul, I was born in the US but spent 7 years in central Colombia (the llanos) with my folks. Dad was the chief mechanic for JAARS there for 13 years.

because if you are really struggling but on the right track and reach out for help, it's amazing what can happen. At that time, you will no longer have no doubt. I hope you get to experience it. IT will blow you away. Just be open and pray and see what happens. What's the harm?

I was doing a crane job at a catholic cathedral and the monsignor asked me if I believed ,
I told him " up there father I can feel closer and more in tune with my faith and some days you can feel the guiding hand saving my backside for something bigger later". he laughed I was serious.

That vid gets me going no matter what mood I'm in. Reminds me how lucky I am to live and work in a country where I'm not persecuted for my faith. It also reminds me that the Freedom we have is paid for with a price. It makes me want to work harder knowing that millions of people hate there job, there living condition, and have no hope. We as Christians should feel burdened by the number of people who don't know Christ, and have no hope. It is our duty to spread the Word, spread our wealth, spread our encouragement, and spread the hope that we have.

Giving praise to God, simply put is giving him the recognition He deserves. I personally don't think He cares where or we praise him as long as we keep our motives in check.
