Do chains dull when the get too hot?

Hmmmmm good advice. I'm going to try the files tomorrow at work because I don't really feel like going to the garage, and grinding some chains this minute. It's already 9:25pm, and I have been swamped all day. I started this morning with a blown out tire on the dump truck. I had to take that...

How long does it take to treat palm scales?

Thanks We pealed two of these ones. I finally got down the trick; a box knife in each hand. I'll tell you what is better on top of that. Go to the top, and put in a DRT, or just put in a pulley and DRT above the point where the fronds start to fall off the tree. Rappel back down to the...

Here's a pic of the hollowed out florescence. Have you ever seen that, Jomoco?

How long does it take to treat palm scales?

I see what you're saying. :) I was trying to start the conversation. I did a bunch of research on google, and I found that web page you posted too. Nothing on image though ;) What I assumed were all 5 robustas may be a hybrid of robusta and filfera based on what I've read. These had...

Do chains dull when the get too hot?

No kidding? That's great. I can handle little touch ups. I was thinking stopping the operation for 10 or 15 minutes to do this.

How long does it take to treat palm scales?

Just wondering. The HO has 5 fan palms with the scales, and before I offer some help with them, should try to find out how much time is involved. Thanks

return on marketing / advertising dollars?

IMO when you show up in your new look to work, that's what it's good for. Clients are impressed, so they spread that name. Other than that the only thing sharp looking tree service driving around or working on the property means is sharp tree service. It's not a bill board people drive by...

Anyone try the Climb Right spike pads?

They are a great improvement over the leather T pads. The bar doesn't squirm around in these. I do still have to wear some velcro athletic knee pads under them to keep from leaving painful dents in my legs after a full day in my gaffs. The difference with the leather T pads is the extra...

What has happened to my chipper

It was the wood ruff key that had sheared off. Shwoow! I thought I was out a whole engine.

    Husqvarna 562

A 20 on a 562 is going to run very fast. I really don't think the oiler problems lies in the fact the bar is longer than 20 inches. I think that the oiler itself is not made large enough. It is clogged too easily. Not sure though. I'm still looking into it and learning as I go.

Violence, gun culture, what can be/should be done.

I thought it was interesting that in the other thread an anonymous person from another country was commanding this country to rid itself of all firearms. It kind of goes without saying how stupid that is. Really the fact of the issue is this. There has never been a time in the world of...

    CT Tragedy

The world won't be considerate and social enough for another 75,000 years as my English Lit teacher used to say. Based on my knowledge and own experiences with reality since then I can finally agree with him. The reality is that human thoughts aren't totally social, and they want things...

How can I run a business without "Employees"?

Re: How can I run a business without \"Employees\"? I wonder if it still pays like that. I heard a lot about making good money only a few years ago, and it's not there any more.
