Husqvarna 562

Yes, the 562 was not oiling my bar well today. My chain was running a little dull, and I was burying the saw in some stumps. That's when the oil dried up. I'm not sure if the added friction of the semi dull chain and the stump combined sort of cooked the oil mechanism.

I pulled the bar off to see if it was clogged or the oiler wasn't working. Both were in working order, so I'm mystified by this 562 too.

The saw cooled off a little while I filled it back up, and I revved it a little until it spit some oil out on something. Chain was getting oil then but not before.

Ha ha took you guys long to find out the little vid from the 540 T ;-)

More vids coming up !
This was last years proto, and there are some changes made. Should even be better now. A couple of months and you will find out some more.

How about for just cutting firewood with a 24 inch bar?

My 365 Specials really scream now running 100 octane racing fuel with 20 inch bars!

if your cutting hard hardwood I would stay with a 20 inch on a stock 562 myself, even with them ported I still am staying with 20 inch as you will run into the problem of not getting enough oil to the bar , sure if your not using the whole bar to cut with it might put out enough oil but in hardwood I found 20 inch works pretty good on a 562

A 20 on a 562 is going to run very fast.

I really don't think the oiler problems lies in the fact the bar is longer than 20 inches. I think that the oiler itself is not made large enough. It is clogged too easily. Not sure though. I'm still looking into it and learning as I go.

the oiler can pump enough oil for the longer bar in drier hardwood , Cutting stuff like pine its fine but big oak its not even close on oil, yes on a 20 inch a stock 562 has enough power but no where enough for me and on the 24 inch bar its just way to slow if stock , I have been running most times not a 365 xt I modded and it will run a 24 inch bar very well

So I have a year on my 562 now and I am impressed. I was skeptical of the autotune at first but it has always run great, you can hear it tune itself. Runs so clean I haven't even had to pull my spark arrestor screen.
Mine only came with one inside felling dog but they sell a matching one for the outer cover which is sweet.
I was also little worried about a computerized carb being fragile but this saw has taken a beating and has not given me any problems.
Only thing they gave me any trouble so far was the tab that there starter cord spool mounts to snapped off the outer cover one time when I went to start it. My dealer said that can happen if you don't always use the compression release but I think it had maybe gotten whacked and was weak or there was a fault in the plastic or something because I replaced the cover that one time and it's been fine.
As of others have mentioned the revs come up superquick.
I also like the choke/kill switch. Out and up to choke, then down for start, throttle trigger releases to idle, then spring-loaded down for kill switch. Might seem funny at first but it works great and you never pulling on a saw that has the kill switch engaged.
I run mine with a 20 inch and a 28 inch bar and rarely find myself reaching for something bigger.
Now if only they could put this technology in a top handled saw. They could call it a T540.. well, maybe someday

Hey ehp-
Did you end up getting your oiler replaced? I had mine for a week and couldn't figure out what the problem was in adjusting the oiler before taking it back to the dealer. (this was over a year ago) They replaced it for free, and there has been no problem since. I am running the 24" stock bar on it... The 562 is easily the most impressive saw I've run. I swear it gets better every day I use it-

Try the Husky 575, it is amazing. Everything the 562 is and more.

When you are done cutting up a big pile of wood with it, you get sad there is no more wood to cut...

no problem with the oiler , its the type of wood I cut alot of , white oak and that wood takes alot more bar oil than say maple . I have been running a ported 562 now for a couple months cutting 25 to 40 inch oak on the stump, very happy with this saw as it cuts very fast and strong
