I've got the rapide. It is WAY quieter and smoother than the original. You really notice it in a comp mostly on the work climb landing. I'm currently running Ice tail on poision ivy /blue moon.
They ROYALLY SUCK! my favorite cap style are the newer Huskys. they screw in but by hand with an o ring like the 338's and 395's. You can get used to the stihls but they are a pain. The 200T has better balance than the 338. But the 395 has slightly better than the 660 but the 395 is a little...
Splicing dead eyes and whoopies are the only way I'll do it. Super easy and save some serious $$$. The locking brummell the only splice I know how to do!
It probably depends. Last summer I ran a business card size ad in our local weekly classified paper. It was a HUGE sucess, it was $117 a month and it pulled in upwards of $20,000 in 4 months from july to oct. Since thanksgiving I've only got a couple calls though.

I am looking forward to this year working on getting my name out there more and educating people what...
mdvaden: I was expecting the root ball to flip but since the only way to get to it was to stand on the side of it and it was a delayed flip that caught me right as I was starting to move from the cut. Plus like I said I was green as can be. I was given a 660 and told "Go cut" they watched me the...
Dude with all these crane videos I'm starting to get jealous!
Ps you are still trying to post tomorrows jobs today! This is the 2nd! You're going entirely too fast!
Here is a pic of those chaps. You can't see the material that was pulled because I actually cut with these for another 5 months or so 8-9 hrs a day until I got a new pair (NOT RECOMMENDED!) But 3 of the 7 layers were cut and the 4th just barely.
Yeah those harvesters ARE MEAN they can cut in an hour what a cutter can cut in a day. AND delimb AND buck them too in a matter of seconds! They do come with a price tag though! Thats just a grinding head rather than a cutting head.
