Nice, thanks for posting. I'm curious to see what it's like around 5 degrees F with a bunch of sugary or sticky snow on the line. If it runs smoothly in those conditions it would be much nicer than a cord on cord set up. Take it out after the Noreaster!

One good reason to have a long eye is to allow the splice to run through your center ring when running the O-rig configuration. The tight eye ends up getting bent too much when it rounds the ring.
I don't know about the other stuff, though.
I know, I know! It *would* be near impossible to sit there and wait for fire trucks...but with that piece of wood that looks to be unsecured wedged in there how would one go about proceeding on an AR. I'm not sure I know the best way on that situation. Any thoughts?
