    Old Valley Oak Retrenchment?

This is what I'm thinking. The remaining canopy looks vigorous, but there looks like a hollow from a breakout near where the branches originate. Also, the size of the last failure (half the tree) has me concerned. This tree is postponed for today. It is an hour and a half from my mountain...

    Old Valley Oak Retrenchment?

I'd like to do a retrenchment pruning on this old oak. It's obviously in a bad way. The owner's would like to retain it. There are currently no targets, but they are installing solar panels about ten feet beyond the canopy. It's a massive White Oak. How big of cuts would you do?

ROPE SOLD OUT New Sterling 11mm H3 Tech11, Bluewater 9mm CanyonLine, Edelrid Treecore harness, and Petzl Wirecore Flipline

What are your thoughts on the ropes? They look new. I'm thinking a skinny second climb line/long lanyard. I have one made out of Resc Tech (8mm), but a little larger diameter would be nice.

Removing a large portion of the canopy

Some customers you can explain what is good or bad for a tree and they will take your advice. Other customers are stuck on having a certain amount gone and will be unhappy with anything else.

    Echo 2500T long term review

I adore this saw. I also got mine about a year before it was released in the U.S.A. It's the best for climbing all around a tree doing a reduction or deadwooding. So light and easy to use.

    Today....

I just noticed 27RMTON had his lanyard attached there. The clip on mine broke from use. Metal fatigue.

    Home birthing hippies

There must have been some home births since 2019? Between 1995 and 2007 I had five babies at home. I had a midwife for the first one. She missed the birth though (it was fast.) She was great support before and after. She also set up a birthing tub. Water helps with birthing pains and...
